15. In response to threats concerning Bin Laden, hijackings... passed the buck
I'm thoroughly sick of Conservatives attacking Clinton, and the pre-9/11 policies, used by every administration prior to 9/11, being used to say "Clinton did nothing."

Bush had specific threats about what happened on September 11th, prior to that tragic date, yet the man claimed "hey, I notified the proper agencies."

Of course, the FAA and ATC were so out-in-the-dark, that when these hijacked airliners went so far off course that something was obviously wrong, they maintained a "wait and see" approach to the situation.

Yeah, Bush must have put those warnings/briefs on such an imperative level, that when the exact thing that he was warned about, was taking place, the people he "notified" sat around and "feeled it out."

2. His supporters would say there hasn't been another attack
on American soil, but they ignore that there are still troops in Afghanistan, where the terrorists are pretty much back in power. There were bombings in Bali that are attributed to Al Qaeda. So it seems we're not winning the war on terrorism.

22. Not to mention anthrax attacks via the U.S.P.S.
and other chemical/biological threats. We still haven't caught those terrorists either.

so that Mohamed Atta's vote in the 200 presidential election didn't count. That was a stunning blow against Alqueda.

12. He appointed Cheney as Head of Counter-terrorism
After rejecting the Hart/Rudman recommendations as old and stale approaches to protecting America, in May 2001, he formed a new task force. He gave a speech in which he declared that his administration was going to take bold new actions to counter terrorism, and that Cheney and Joe Albaugh were going to oversee it.

It is unclear that this new committee met even once.

If you recall, before 2001, all emphasis was on missile shields. Terrorism was NOT considered a threat. Ashcroft actually cut Justice Dept funding for anti-terrorism in 2001. Louis Freeh, who was gravely concerned about the likelihood of a terror strike in the US, had screaming arguments with Ashcroft behind closed doors, and eventually resigned in disgust and dismay.

His Chimperial Highness and the State Dept also were content in watching Israel/Palestine conflagerate during 2001 -- as if that was irrelevant to world terrorism. (ooops)

Um, if you are asking what His Chimperial Majesty did that actually was effective in combating terrorism in the US -- I am afraid I cannot offer an instance. From what I understand, this administration had their head up their ass, and believe the priority of national security was developing technologies to intercept incoming intercontinental missiles. oops
