Not that i believe in nostradamus but am curious to know if there is anything in his writings which referred to the rise of chimp et al (probably listed under future premature ejaculations or something)

1. I think there was something about a false |
|
Leader who was very popular. The failed miserably and brought a war in the middle east. I don't remember too much about the rest of it.

2. There has been some speculation that |
|
* might be the 3rd Anti-Christ. I believe Nostradumas made mention the name Mabus and some take that to be a close spelling to Bush.

11. Move the "M" & "a" in an "H" pattern and get "gWbus" + H |
|
That's closer than the Nostradamus misspellings of Hitler and Napoleon.
There's also some quatrain that's supposed to refer to the "third" antichrist starting 17 years (or so) of war in the middle east.
And another one about him losing power after setting in motion the war. Hopefully that means he's a one-termer like his daddy.

Mabus really stands for Ma Bush, aka Barbara Bush, from whose festering womb sprang Beelzebub himself. So Nostradamus was very close!

I believe that 70's pop cinema envisioned a time when the Bush family finally took over the entire planet. In this series of films they had theocratic conservatives protecting the public from the truth about their sacred writings and in one installment, revealed the secret cult of the nuk*U*Lar bomb. Yes, oh yes... Planet of the Apes foretold of the Bush years.

"Come the millennium, month 12, In the home of greatest power, The village idiot will come forth To be acclaimed the leader." Nostradamus, 1555
This was circulating around the web shortly after the selection.

From Century 8:
78 A soldier of fortune with twisted tongue will come to the sanctuary of the gods. He will open the door to heretics and raise up the Church militant.

It bothers me when people call President Bush a chimp. I think it is very insulting... to chimps.

23. Nostrodamus wrote enough vague predictions that you can spin them |

to almost any situation.
I wouldnt bother thinking about it.

It's just like the bible/torah/koran. It's written in a way that can be easily spinned to any situation.

25. Only more intentional. |
|
Alot of the vagueness in holy books comes from them being passed down and coming from oral traditions. Nostradamus' work is like any psychic or fortune teller nowadays. It is intentionally vague and calculated to fit common situations.
