Workers losing to inflation |
|
From www.bloomberg.com's story on today's CPI release:
"Workers' earnings adjusted for inflation fell 0.1 percent last month after rising 0.3 percent, the Labor Department said in a separate release. The lack of new hiring restrains wages and other compensation that account for about two-thirds of a company's costs. The absence of accelerating employment costs makes it easier for businesses to hold the line on prices."

Just increase the price slightly this month, then again next month...and HUGE profits for the quarter, on the backs of the consumer and the worker.
HOW LONG, OH LORD, HOW LONG
