1. That would make a good bet.
I'm betting no.
Unless you are, and that was your reason for posting.
In that case, I bet yes.

10. Sea-Org
During the high days of Scientology Hubbard started to build himself a navy. He bought a couple of massive yachts and converted them to ocean going conversion centers. Their mission to bring Scientology to the world. Those who signed on to Sea-Org were considered the elite of the crop. They signed a contract binding their Thetan(Scientology speak for soul) to a 50,000 contract.

Once in Sea-Org they would disappear from society. They became essentially slave labor for Hubbard. Their lives were directed by incredibly harsh treatment and continuous breaking down of their personalities.

When Hubbard died the Navy project had disintergrated. Only two ships remained in the fleet. But the Sea-Org was still functional. It moved to land and now they are the hidden numbers not seen by the public. They live is horrendous conditions. Rarely if ever showing up in the public eye. A relatively recent case several years ago of one of them trying to escape broke into the public awareness.

A Sea-Org member tried to escape. She did this by staging an mental break down in the middle of traffic. They took her to a mental health clinic. Her hopes were that Scientologies abhorance of psychologists would keep them away. They came anyway and collected her. That was the last time any nonscientologist saw her alive. 2 weeks later she was dead from malnutrition and dehydration. Her body covered with cockroach bites and filth. The Scientologists had attempted to cure her by isolating her and starving her.

11. The woman referenced here is Lisa McPherson

Just one example of the many tragedies associated with this cult.

9. SeaOrg Info
http://www.clambake.org/archive/so/

From this link:

In 1968 Ethics was introduced in Sea Org. Crew were put into a chain-locker as punishment. A chain-locker is "a dark hole where the anchor chains are stored; cold, wet and rats," to quote one ex-Sea Org officer. A crew member that was put on ethics could spend up to two weeks in the tiny hole. Former Scientologists who served as crew together with Hubbard in the early years remember a five years old deaf and mute child being locked up in the chain-locker. Hubbard said she was not to leave the chain locker until she completed the formula by writing her name. Another witness claims that a three-year-old was once put in the locker.
