TBR News about next attack in America by You Know Who
From: http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/controling.htm

(July 14) Happy talk at the Pentagon about a universal draft is fading away. No chance of this disaster even being broached and it should not be mentioned at all. It is doubtful that the White House will touch this one now…There is a growing fear in counter intelligence circles that if the resistance movement in Iraq is not stopped, the resulting very bad PR might cause an “incident” somewhere in the US just before election time to whip the voters up to vote for Bush as a “wartime leader” who can put a number of draconian laws and edicts in place to “protect the American people.” Someone in the FBI said to one of our people, entirely off the record, that quote it will probably be the Statue of Liberty endquote. There must be no speculation on this subject under any circumstances. If some rigged incident does happen and we comment on it in advance, new regulations could cause us serious problems …If this happens, it will be Rumsfeld who plans and executes it. This will give the President the usual deniability. It is more than likely that we will get some advance notice of such an action and then decisions can be made relative to going to the public. On one hand, it would be a magnificent media coup guaranteeing ratings off the chart and on the other, a death sentence…

1. As I mentioned on a thread a few days...
... I think Barnes Review is being played for suckers. If one looks at the tone and language of the earliest "leaks" and the same of the latest ones, including the above, there's a considerable difference. It's the oldest disinformation trick in the book to discredit a news source--feed some really good material early on and then get progressively less truthful over time.

It may very well be that this is part of a disinformation campaign to damage the credibility of remaining few news sources who are trying to break through the secrecy of the administration, or to put an end to any press speculation of a LIHOP, especially if there's a dramatic arrest of al-Qaeda members trying to blow up, for example, the Statue of Liberty.

Cheers.

2. No, the Barnes Review is NOT "being played for" suckers.
The Barnes Review IS for suckers - specifically suckers of Nazi cock. Check out their putrid book list. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

3. A lot of good stuff there,

but I'm almost positive that the TBR News is derived from the Barnes Review. That was founded by Willis Carto, a rabid anti-Semite, Holocaust-denier, and Hitler apologist.

"Paleo-conservative" Pat Buchanan certainly doesn't deserve to be lumped with that crowd, but we're seeing that same sort of "convergence" from his group also. Don't blindly reject, but be cautious of blind acceptance too.

On edit: I didn't see the above two when I made this posting. I don't think there's any attempt at "disinformation", but there's certainly an attempt to gain undeserved "respectability" in the eyes of the (gullible) Left. "Blowback—The Costs and Consequences of American Empire, by Chalmers Johnson" in their booklist is an example. I recall seeing Chomsky's books listed in another site; even more overtly anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi.
