(little late for LBN, but a worthwhile story/pic)

...and ol' Jimbo looks like he's working hard at looking like it's not bothering him. We also see that out of respect for the World Bank president, the Slovenian finance minister made sure to stand between the paint bombers and the WB Prez.

President of World Bank to speak @ Trinity College NE, DC.
Emergency Call to Action!!!

James D. Wolfenson, President of the World Bank is speaking at an event about "Faith and Community" on Tuesday, March 30th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

He will be speaking at the Trinity College Chapel, 125 michigan Ave, NE DC.
(this is right off North Capital street, the closest metro stop is Catholic U/Brookland, then walk west on Michigan to the Trinity College Campus)

We would like to have a large group of people to come out and help expose the policies of the World Bank and IMF for what they are: destructive and undemocratic.

It would be awesome to have everything from drums and banners to books and literature to give out to the (mostly college/upper high school) students and people attending the event.

Everyone will be able to attend the speaking also, its free!, but you need to get a ticket from InterFaith Confrence of DC. (www.ifcmw.org, or 1426 9th st NW at the Flemming Center 202 234 6300)
There will be a "question and answer" part at the end of his speech, so we can ask lots of good questions and such.

This is a perfect opportunity to show the movements creativity and relevancy, especially outside of the general protest arena, and when we are unexpected and largely unoposed.

Tell a friend, re-post this to every list-serv and come out!

See You There
