Richard Clarke Proved One Thing For Sure Tonight
If Gore was president, 9/11 would not have happened. Gore would not have demoted Clarke from a cabinet position. Gore would have listened to Clarke's demand for a cabinet level meeting on the AQ chatter, and just like Clarke said, the FBI, Justice, CIA, etc. would have had to report on what they were doing to prevent an attack.

With a President Gore at the helm, there would have been no 9/11, no illegal war in Iraq, and the economy would have been booming.

HEY RALPH NADER IS THAT ENOUGH OF A DIFFERENCE FOR YOU!!!!

4. Yes, by encouraging the media to tell the truth! Here's How:
I am actually REposting this - from another DUer - I GRATEFULLY acknowledge DUer bigtree for coming up with this list and doing the heavy lifting on it. But it's SO WORTH IT to repost. PLEASE CONTACT SOMEBODY. ANYBODY! Or use the TOLL FREE Capitol Hill Switchboard number in my sig line, first thing tomorrow morning.

PLEASE PEOPLE! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! "60 Minutes" ENDS at the end of the 60 minutes. It's up to the rest of us to see that it lives on and keeps having an impact. This is VERY heavy stuff. Needs to be repeated ALL OVER THE PLACE! And, while you're at it, CBS needs to be thanked!

- calimary

Here is another EXCELLENT LIST OF CONTACTS! Please
make note of it, make a copy of it, and make use of
it!

Use the responses to strike back at the attacks, here
and elsewhere.

2. Ah, what might have been.
It's painful to think of all the hell that White House squatter has put us through. And to think we came so close to avoiding this nightmare.

But we can't dwell on this thinking long. We must remove that imposter from the White House, and reject his crummy and corrupt party from the Congress!

because THAT, more than all the bitching in the world, is what is going to change things.

I agree with you, however.

16. I am doing my best
I work with mostly younger people, most of them have never voted. One person I am working on has never registered, she is really interested in hearing about what is going on and I am trying like crazy to recruit her. The young vote could be the difference this year and we need to focus our attention on them. Some of them have not yet been corrupted and are willing to listen unlike older people who already have enough knowledge (or lack of, depending),about who they want to vote for.

He's too busy hearing his little heart go pitter patter with glee and screaming, "I'm running for President again, Wheeee. what fun".

6. I totally agree. I've argued the same point with my wingnut co-workers,
but they think I'm whacko. President Gore would not have permitted 9/11. The U.S. government did not fail--it was the usurpers who seized power in 2000.

7. Even if Gore was President 9-11 could have happened
even Clark admitted as much on the air. But we do know Clinton stopped the Millennium plots and the LAX, so maybe yes and maybe no.

15. The difference is Gore did not have a hidden agenda
Bush and Co. were going to focus on Iraq no matter what happened.
Since the day he was elected--they wanted to fulfill the Osama prediction of invading an oil rich country.

18. "It was like they were preserved in amber."
Oh yeah. The minute these cockroaches crawled out from under their rock in 2001 and opened the Oval Office up for bidness they wanted Star Wars and Iraq. They ignored terrorism and actually encouraged its spread, including its most insidious form -- nuclear proliferation. Gee. That's what Ms. Plame and her lost network were working on. Nice people, the Bush Organized Crime Family.

8. I completely agree. However.
President Gore would have made terrorism a top priority. However, I regret to think that many DU types would have claimed that even a Gore war on terror would just be more American imperialism and strengthen Nader's idiotic contention that there is no difference between Gore and Bush.

9. There was a report that Gore commissioned, by Gary Hart and
someone else, which was a blueprint for dealing with terrorism. They gave the report to the Bush admin, one of the suggestions was setting up a new department exactly like the Off of Homeland Security.

Bush threw the report out and said Dick Cheney was going to be in charge of terrorism and put together a new report.

But Dick was busy with his energy meetings. Actually, that's probably where he was working on the report, maps of Iraqi oil fields included.

two and a half years on the study. Their report said that a catastrophic attack on American soil was inevitable, and we were very poorly prepared for it. I believe bush* was given the report in April 2001. He basically said, thanks but no thanks, I'll have Dick do his own study when he gets some time. He's busy right now figuring out how to loot the Treasury for our energy buddies.

On edit: oops! it was Rudman, not Leahy as I said originally.

10. One plainly obvious
tactic used by both Clarke and O'neill was to buy life insurance, in the form a new book. They know Chimpco will have them "disappeared", but the book makes that pointless. This election will be the biggest bloodbath in the history of America. We must be willing to shed blood to save the republic.
