Need a good laugh? Cheney and the split screen via the Daily Show
on the left side: "We are winning the war on terra. Iraq is safer. Kerry sucks. Kerry won't protect America."

On the right side: all hell blowing loose during that major hotel bombing in Baghdad.

3. I loved it
Imagine that Faux News actually doing a real news service. What were they thinking? Must have been some new hires and they will shortly be fired. I love Jon Stewart, he really knows how to get the news out there to those who just don't want to pay attention.

5. Did you see the Daily Show where they showed the Iraqi woman...
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 02:48 PM by VolcanoJen
... sitting down for an interview with Al-Jazeerah? It's the footage where right behind her shoulder, the horrific bomb is detonated. A deafening blast is heard, and she jumps from the chair and runs for safety, as anyone would.

MSNBC Footage on This Page

Anyhow, the Daily Show showed footage of a Bush rally where he talked about how the Iraqi people are grateful that we have made their lives safer by removing Saddam.

Jon then puts up the footage of the woman above, says, "Well, let's ask this Iraqi woman. Ma'am, do you feel safer?" Then, the bomb explodes and she runs off-screen.

It was classic, as was the Cheney split-screen segment. Thank you, Daily Show!!

7. Seems like it takes a couple of days to get the videos up
But the "Iraqi woman - safer" one was brilliant as well.

9. I didn't see that, but I remember the footage of the Iraqi woman
jumping from her seat after the blast. I'll bet that was hilarious. (Although sad, that people actually died from that blast.)

14. Unfortunately, Comedy Central hasn't posted the video of that segment yet.
I think it aired on Thursday night's 11:00 pm ET show, and they just haven't updated the site yet.

Keep looking for it, though!!

Touching... candid... LURID.

The Cheney/Daily Show bit was great, also fun is when fox does a split screen of Geraldo waxing poetic about Iraqi freedom while handcuffed Iraqis and corpses are displayed.
