What DON'T you like about your candidate?
I've spent a lot of time listening to people like Rush Limbaugh and Republicans in general. And they act as if Bush can do no wrong. That's always disturbed me how someone can think a politican is perfect.

So I think it is good and healthy for the nation when someone is able to point out where their candidate is in the wrong.

I'll go first:

I'm a Dean supporter, but I don't like his position on gay rights. His signing of the Civil Unions bill was admirable, but he says things like gay marriage should be left up to the states. I disagree with this because it's a civil rights issue, not a states issue.

And he is against the death penalty except for terrorists, child killers, and cop killers. I disagree with this only because I'm against the death penalty in any situation.

1. I'm Not Thrilled With Dean's Stance on Israel

or his support of NAFTA, although he did make a statement about IT job loss this weekend. I am still a Dean supporter.

2. I love Kucinich,
but I was disappointed in his vote on the flag burning issue.
I also wish he was taller with smaller ears.

3. Electable would be nice

I took that candidates quiz that's been floating about, and had a 100% match with Kucinich. I have to think, however, that if a fairly politically savvy individual such as myself doesn't even know how to pronounce Kucinich's name, he doesn't have nearly the name recogition factor to let him be elected. ;(

5. If all the people who support what he supports vote for him
I believe he can win. Funny how that works.
I do get tired of people saying "I would vote for *, but they can't win."

4. I'm a Dean supporter, and I must admit he has sharp elbows.
He was probably first out of the box with cutting coments about the pro-war Dems' votes. (OTOH, it was legit crit, and probably quite necessary.)

He's a lso a hair too conservative on economics - he mentioned that raising SS retirement age to 67-68 was OK by him. It's not OK by me.

6. as a Kerry fan
I don't have too much negative stuff to say about him. I think he's the closest to perfect candidate the party has right now.

Dean is hot now...but Kerry will remain calm and cool and just slide into the nomination, I believe.

BTW, Kerry is my #1 and Dean is my #2, and they're both very close. I give Kerry the nod because he deserves to be president more than Dean does. Kerry has done more for America.
