Will the August 6th PDB ever be made public ?
This was the Presidential Daily Briefing that Jamie Gorelick referenced yesterday. She is reportedly the only 9/11 Commissioner to have read it. She is reported to have said that it will "set your hair on fire". It's hot!

This is the PDB that Bush was supposedly briefed about a possible attack on our country by terrorists in airplanes. He ignored it and went on vacation to Crawford, Texas. This PDB is so damning that it would convert Jerry Falwell. But will it ever be permitted to be released to the public? Don't hold your breath.

Hint, hint, wink, wink. We may just see it, yet.

3. YES
Erosion will make it happen. We will also find out the story behind the plame outing. We will also discover what cheney needs to hide in his energy task force. We just need to be patient and keep our representatives apprised of our concerns. Nixon will be perceived as a great republican statesman by the time the American public get the whole story on the lying adults in charge today.

5. I keep wishing for somebody to leak this
Somebody at the CIA who is sick and tired of the Bush games.

I don't know why this hasn't happened yet? Will it happen? I keep wishing on the first star I see. LOL!

8. They won't let the full commission see it.
I remember reading somewhere (I don't have a link!) only one person was allowed to read it and no notes were to be taken.

It must be HUGE.

Condi can declassify emails at whim (which doesn't really support her case, just shows Clarke accentuating the positive as he said he did), but they won't allow members of the 9/11 commission access to important material needed to paint the full picture.

BAH! Bunch of sleazy lying SOBs.

... Thanks, Fishbine!

Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S

Washington Post/Common Dreams
By Bob Woodward and Dan Eggen
Saturday, May 18, 2002

The document, known as the President's Daily Briefing, underscored that Osama bin Laden and his followers hoped to "bring the fight to America," in part as retaliation for U.S. missile strikes on al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan in 1998, according to knowledgeable sources.

<snip>

In earlier comments this week, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice and other administration officials stressed that intelligence officials were focused primarily on threats to U.S. interests overseas. But sources made clear yesterday that the briefing presented to Bush focused on attacks within the United States, indicating that he and his aides were concerned about the risks.

The new reports came amid continued demands for an independent investigation on Capitol Hill, along with more revelations about possible intelligence missteps before the Sept. 11 attacks.

<snip>

"I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people . . . would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile," Rice said Thursday.

So Kerry, Edwards and Lieberman should have read this book. -- Fishbine

10. This is what is in the memo Kentuck
Specific hijacking involving alqaeda but so much detail that it indicated that the hijackers would land the planes somewhere and make demands.

I think Bush and Rice, etc. were deliberately told that this is what would happen. Somebody in another "loop", knew exactly what was going to happen and why.

That's why she made the statement that she did about "no imagined".
They didn't imagine because they were told what the hijackers were going to do.

12. IT is the big lie at the center of it all, isn't it? Its why condi won't
Edited on Fri Mar-26-04 09:07 PM by nu_duer
testify, its why bush won't testify, its why all the other 9*11 lies that are beginning to unravel were told. They knew. They knew. They knew.

They fucking knew.

Here goes a big maybe, but maybe everything done by this regime since has been to distract from that damning, treasonous failure. Maybe the Iraq invasion was a distraction. There's a website I visit that is saying Clarke is still working for bush and attempting to keep the debate away from "they knew" and more in the realm of "they were negligent in their naiveté. Huge difference, there, tho I doubt the "Clarke is the limited hang-out guy" theory.

But what is becoming undeniable, if you put the pieces together, is that they knew an attack was coming and decided to let it happen! Will

America learn the truth?

14. Kentuck. The shit is so heavy I'm getting scared of posting now.
I mean, I always felt safe because when you earn a few tin foil hats from people, you feel like, good, "they" won't pay attention to you since other people said you need a hat.

But when the shit starts to bear out right to where things are getting obvious, I feel a ominous vibe in the air. Spooky. Like "what are they going to do"?

13. "Who's Afraid of the PDB?"
A good article from earlier this week by the director of the National Security Archive. Basically stripping away the "Ultra-ultra sensitive" mystique that the PDB gets from the media (ie "According to the CIA's own history of its presidential briefings, roughly 40 percent of what the PDB covers is addressed in the newspapers.") & arguing that the August PDB could easily be released with only sources & other genuinely sensetive material blacked out.

But in answer to your question -- the longer they delay in releasing even a heavily redacted version, the more suspicious many will get as to what he's hiding.
