If Mr. Frist is so concerned about Clarke profiting off of his book, maybe he should bitch about the smirk selling pictures of himself to raise money for his campaign? As I remember though that was perfectly acceptable.

1. It was like
A $300 contribution to become co-chair of something, and you got a "free" photo from the MAN leading the world from AF1.

2. Yes he did!
He conveniently had a photographer with him as he bunnyhopped from bunker to bunker, to document the whole sorry exercise.

Then he sold the pix.

Whore doesn't cover it. Ghoul?

5. We all need to remember there are 2 sets of standards. One for us
Democrats and the other for the Republicans. They can do anything they want, but we had better walk the line and do as they want us to do we they brand us bad bad people.

3. I think
the party did it on his behalf or some fundraising push. "Out of harms way" may have been the caption if memory serves correct. Disgusting, but hey .....$ is $ to that crowd. The ends justify the means for some.

4. I remember that...the thoughtful yet serious leader gazed...
...out of an AF1 window, as he spoke on the telephone. He was probably calling up to the galley to find out what flavor jam he was getting on his peanut butter sandwich.

8. We must all bring this up any chance we get! Only the

hardcore right wing thinks the GOP doesn't have to play by any rules. A lot of "ordinary" folks in the US will see the injustice of such assertions if they are reminded of what Bush* has done.

Earlier today (or late last night) I read the story about a Bush* spokesperson criticizing John Kerry for the scripture he read and discussed while speaking at a Baptist church. He said Kerry was exploiting the scripture by reading a verse from St. James that basically says you have to DO SOMETHING to prove you are a Christian.

I live in the Bible Belt and another way I've heard it put is "If you were arrested today on charges of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?"

So Kerry isn't supposed to say anything about his Christian faith and Clarke can't talk about Bush* failures that led to 9/11, but Bush* can tout his Christianity and the RNC can sell photos of him taken on 9/11. . . fair and balanced?

10. I agree with you. It is up to us out here who get access to this kind of
info to make others aware. You are right that many Americans will see this for what it is...crass double standards.
