I'm really optimistic about AirAmerica
I was really really really worried it would suck. But it's pretty good--and guess what? It can only get better, considering how many rookies are on there at all levels. It's as good a start as possible; moreover the financial assumptions behind it seem conservative (in the good way).

Just wanted to say that I have some good forbodings.

And another thing: we're too easily intimidated by conservative "talent". What the hell talent does G Gordon Liddy, the thief have? Hannity? Blowhard O'Reilly? The legions of copycat Goerings?

They gots nothing. We (or I) were intimated because they were the only game in town. But the reason they were the only game in town was because they were the only game in town--they had neither truth nor talent on their side.

Now we have both on ours. And producers who know how to make good entertainment. A great day! First we take back the Internet from the mouthbreathers, then now the airwaves--cable TV here we come!

4. Like what I've heard so far...
...but then anything would be a step up from the right wing crap that presently dominates the AM airwaves.

5. I wasn't very optimistic until I heard Garofalo's show.
I love Al Franken, but I think he needs some time to get accustomed to the format.

Rhodes is very good, but she's an unknown, and she's very much a firebrand. She needs to be butressed by some more... calm sounding voices, I think.

Garofalo's just a natural. Easy to listen to, informative and charismatic.

I'm getting pretty optimistic, myself.
