The word liberal should be a proud label, if one chooses it. Let's take back the language. Maybe a slogan: Proud liberal, like T Jefferson, Lincoln, Truman, JFK, etc. --

4. I called myself "progressive" in my 20s.
Such a waste of a perfectly good word...to run away from it. In any dictionary, Liberal is a good thing. You cant say that about half the definitions of conservative.
