Isn't this a double standard?

And why didn't we try to take Saddams sons, might they not know where the WMDs are hidden?

1. Ya know, I brought this up at work yesterday.
And everyone looked at me as though I were an alien.

I cannot believe that Americans, as vindictive, nasty and un-thinking as we are, are not outraged that we deliberately, and methodically, collected the Bin Laden family and flew them to safety.

3. well
Supposedly the bin Ladens disowned Osama and had nothing to do with him or his actions.

And, Saddam's sons were not only part of his regieme, but also were very high up in that administration.

BUT it doesn't really justify killing them. And I do think it is at the very least questionable that the bin Ladens were flown to safety.

So, I am just saying that there is a difference here.

But I don't approve of either action.

5. Fly 'em away... fine. But not before questioning every last one of them.
Imagine what would happen to your own family if you were accused of the murder of almost 3,000 innocents...

It's amazing to me, that we're not more aware of this issue.

6. Exactly
But imagine the questioning.

"Tell us about your buisness practices and your finances."

...

"Wait, nevermind. The president has ordered that your testimony be classified. In the name of, uh, national security. Yeah"

It would be like a trial for Saddam.

"Just where did you get these weapons, Saddam?"

"President Reagan and his Vice President George H W Bush. They sent over Donald Rumsfeld to meet with me. That's a good guy, that Rumsfeld. I could tell right away that we had a lot in common and would be good friends."

4. They didn't even interview them
Then again, the Bin Laden family and the Bush family are old friends.
