Ironically, at their boards, they have the following advertisement:

Brain tumor, diagnosis, therapy, support groups and more.

braintumor.org

Must be their mirror site.

6. here's their take on democracy
Democracy - Democracy is a facade: when people act as individuals, deciding what he or she wants to do, it equals chaos. Democracy is too weak to be relied on; for liberalism spends too much emphasis on individualism which separates communities and people into groups, hence creating class conflict. Democracy is anarchy with a less shocking name. As Fascists we will make sure that control, unity, and obedience will be the top priorities for the people of America. These three aspects will without a doubt lower crime, poverty, and allow people to live normal, more traditional ways of life.

--gee, sounds like a talking point for Ann Coulter...

so are we to the point of a one party system...i.e. the one party that represents the democratic system is now the democrats, while the republicans are such in name only, while those who control their party and who speak for them have, in fact, adopted fascism?

Control, Unity and Obedience (their creed) replaced by Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (our creed as Jefferson wrote as the basis of our founding as a nation.)

btw, fascism has lots in common with military...I guess that's why militarism is the familiar route to fascism.

10. No, they distinguish themselves from nazis
because they claim they are open to various races and do not expouse hatred against a particular race...

instead, they hate democracy.

of course, pluralism is a big part of democracy...from the many, one...e pluribus unum...

Democracy urges that various views compete so that people can decide which ones best express their ideas and best represent them.

Fascism is what the Bush gang wants as they use redistricting in Tx and no paper trial voting and supreme court appointees who will create a one party system.

This is what we are voting AGAINST in this next election.

I know many republicans who think that it's good for the country to have diversity in govt. If they truly think this, they should join democrats to make sure the extremists who are now undermining our very form of govt do not succeed in this next election.

14. I thought Democracy was about the majority, and NOT individuals
Edited on Thu Apr-01-04 09:03 AM by blurp
Democracy - Democracy is a facade: when people act as individuals, deciding what he or she wants to do, it equals chaos.

I thought the whole point of Democracy was that people act as a group and NOT as individuals.

Majority rules and all.

8. control, unity, and obedience will be the top priorities
And people wonder why I have a problem with Authority. As a 'free thinker' I'm sure I'll be one of the first taken out back behind the corporate barn and eliminated.

And quite frankly, I find that option much better than living under facist rule.

15. It would be laughable...
except that Bush has bascially supported this same idea...for instance, when he said that he considered any opposition to his invasion of Iraq treason...so, disagree with the unelected liar and you are guilty of treason in Busholini's eyes.

and Ashcroft's warning that any criticism of the govt aided and abetted terrorists...

and Zell Miller's recent comments that the 9-11 Commission gave comfort and support to terrorists...

and Friedman's op ed last week in the NYTimes that said Spain's rejection of their conservative govt, because the Socialists said they would pull out of Iraq if the UN did not take over was appeasement...

..and so many more statements like this which equate a diversity of opinion and the right to hold them and express them as the equivalent of support for terrorism.

combine that with the gutting of the Constitution which occurred after 9-11, with the imaginary term "enemy combatant" and the ways that Ashcroft (with the full support of so many Republicans) created a term to deny America citizens their Constitutional Rights to due process, a fair and speedy trial, a lawyer...

These goals are also consistent with the Dominionist and Christian Reconstruction theocrats who think they've found their man in the White House...along with Scalia in the Supreme Court..

18. This is realy frightening! I'm glad I'm not a US citizen.
In what proportion do Republicans approve (of) it? I'm not leftwing myself* but I'm entirely against all of it! So is the so-called "Right", in the rest of the world...

(*) Maybe on the social but definitively not on the economy

19. What's even more worrying for you guys is...
... that there might not be a sanctuary for US dissidents anymore, North of the border since your government is pressuring (and threatening) foreign countries that are contemplating it. I couldn't say about South of the border. Mexico cannot be pressured as much as Canada. And now, there is this new movie about the battle following Alamo, in wich Mexico loose Texas to the "gringos". I'm sure Mexicans will be thrilled...
