Our local wingnut's view on what to do about Fallujah.
We have this bloated, pasty faced Rush wannabe on the radio here. I have never heard him on the radio but they show the radio broadcast live on a local TV channel. This morning I was flipping through channels and unfortunately stopped for a few minutes on this guy. He said the US ought to kill every man, woman and child in Fallujah. He said when Saddam did it the left didn't complain and the UN didn't complain but he can guarantee we would complain if the US did it, although he felt it would take care of the insurgency immediately.

There are just so many things wrong with this on so many levels I can't even begin. I think it shows how far down the Republican food chain this guy is since the higher-ups all get their identical talking points handed to them from the white house and he has to make up his own.

1. If it worked for ancient Hebrews...
...under direct orders from God, no less, why wouldn't it work for us? </sarcasm>

3. Next thing you know, they'll be quoting "Aliens"
The movie from James Cameron, Aliens, has a line about the space marines bugging out and nuking the whole site from a distance...

4. Call him up and say, "Saddle up, cowboy"
With the troops stretched so thin, you can bet they will even consider enlisting "bloated, pasty-faced Rush wannabe"s.

There certainly was no beauty requirement when I enlisted.

:P

5. oh the irony
doesn't seem to get that he probably used the "he gased his own people" line to justify Iraq after the WMDs lie was demonstrated.

Now he advocates ethnic cleansing. Guess he likes emulating the actions of Saddam, Milosovic, the aggressors in Rwanda, Pol Pot and Hitler. How interesting.

14. Yep. Irony is lost on these clods of dirt
Since no WMD, no links to terrorists, Saddam is gone, and apparently "liberating" Iraq is no longer in fashion, we are down to just killing them all because they resist our invasion of their country.

So, now its just down to: "Kill them all and steal their oil." At least its out in the open now.

9. Your point is understated.
If you are familiar with the history of the last millennium it is entirely possible that we are seeing the beginning of a long and dangerous war of cultures which will, by its very nature, be on a world war scale. And we are handicapped by a "leader" who knows very little history. Shouldn't we be looking to make friends and solidify alliances rather than pissing off everyone including long time allies. Shrub has no idea of the consequences of his stupid decisions. One reason I will be pleased to vote for Kerry is that he knows his history. Shouldn't some degree of knowledge and understanding about the past be a prerequisite for the job of president.

8. Here's A Standing Offer...
I have a wingnut relative (very distant, fortunately), who spouted one night all his militant crap...how we needed to kick the ass out of the A-rabs (he thinks the guys at the nearby 7-11 are terrorists) and then pack the ones here off, too.

After letting him spew for a bit, I stopped John Wayne in mid-diabribe and offered to not only pay for his plane fare to Baghdad (or Falujah...I'll even pay for a damn charter...is the CIA running daily flights yet???) and even drive him to the airport.

I'm so sick of these chickenshits who would turn tail the second their bacon was in the fryer, but so cavilliere of how others live and kids are used.

13. The FReeper in the next office says
if it weren't for the oil, we oughtta use nukes to "turn the whole Middle East into glass." Since he's pretty anti-semitic, I think he's including Israel in his prescription.

16. Maybe you could encourage him
Nuking the towns wouldn't prevent the oil from being extracted. Just a few little "tactical nukes". Ask him to encourage his brave war leader in the WH to do just that. I mean, is his leader a "pussy" or something?

Something along the lines of "A Modest Proposal" would be fitting at this point.
