Breaking News:::Bush decides to help the elderly with a new bill
Written by Judith Perez
AP Press

Washington, D.C. President Bush, under heavy scrutiny from his own party and from the Democratic party, has decided to pass a new Medicare bill to remove the egregarious Medicare bill. Under Bush's new Medicare bill, the price of generic drugs would be slashed into half for elderly citizens, and a tax rebate for families who pay for insurance over $400 dollars. Also, importation of drugs from Canada would be allowed.

Bush is slated to give a major speech announcing the creation of his new Medicare bill today at six P.M. He will be surrounded on stage by members of the AARP, and a few members of Congress along with his wife, Laura. There are those who feel that the new Medicare bill is a distraction from the flap of the first one, and a way to avoid Medigate. This also would help Bush's standing with elderly citizens in California and in Florida.

Senator Hillary Clinton was reached for comment and she said, "I think it's wonderful that the President is doing this, but it's too little, too late. This is nothing more than election year politics. If Bush is reelected again, this bill will die on the table, trust me." The White House did not comment on Sen. Hillary Clinton's response to the new Medicare bill.

3. They are about to be hit by a bomb in June---the elderly are now
receiving their 'sign up' for the prescription drug thing and it is reported they are now realizing what a fraud it is. They are finding that as the industry hikes up the cost, they will stay pay the same they always did of out of pocket expense and that this is just a "line the pockets of the drug industry" bill. AARP even admits the backlash is coming. I suppose Bush will 'propose' this knowing it won't be taken up or anything until after elections at which time he can do what he is most famous for: pull the rug out and let the elderly break bones falling and then chuckle "I gottcha again". I wondered how they were going to try to defuse the bomb 'cause the elderly vote would have sunk him most certainly.
