Teen Pleads Guilty To Threatening Bush (Faces a Year in Jail)
Edited on Thu Apr-01-04 12:48 PM by BradCKY
An Oswego High School student has admitted sending a email to the President that threatened to kill him.

John Fellows, 17, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Oswego City Court to aggravated harassment. He admits that on November 3rd, he sent the threatening email to the White House from Oswego High School's media center. In the message, Fellows said "I'm going to blow up the White House and kill you and your family. You're a stupid piece of and deserve to die."

By accepting a plea deal and avoiding a trial, Fellows escapes much harsher federal prosecution.

4. Good
Sorry, as much as I hate BushCo, threatening assassination of a sitting pResident just ain't cool. Sentence him to 90 days, let him sit on probation for a year or two, and teach him a lesson.

9. Freepers have other ideas
Force him to go and serve in some capacity in Iraq where he has to ride around in an SUV in the Fallujah area. I'm serious. He can tell them how much he hates Bush in hopes that the Iraqis won't butcher him.

6. Stupid kid
problem is that we don't learn to articulate and thus go with threats. No problem had he written a note about how blatantly bad bush's policies were to the US and that he would look forward to refering to bush as former president bush (ala being beaten in the election.) Bet if he dislikes bush enough to write such a stupid email - that he could have ranted and raved about bush policies/actions - without having to write a threat. Very stupid to threaten the president of the US.

7. I think...
If the president is named CLINTON, you're allowed to
scream that you're going to kill him ("sloooooowly
and painfully") right to his face and his Secret
Service should just back off and let you, or else
you're some elitist pinko undeserving of the office
of the Presidency for being so Against The People.

If people aren't allowed to douse you with spittle
as they scream 'traitor' and 'murderer' at you in
public, you're infringing on their 1st Amendment
rights.

If you're name is Bush, however, I think even
'being negative' or 'being a Democrat' in His
Presence is a Capital Crime.

11. Is someone allowed to say that he/she wishes
the president were dead? Or that someone else would kill him? How about the vice president? Attorny General (I mean, he already came so close...) Aren't Americans allowed to say whatever we want? Hmm. Am I going to get in trouble for asking these questions? What are the rules?
