You Have To Buy Real Audio Player To Hear Air America?
It appears to me that you have to buy Real Audio's player in order to hear Air America. Is that correct? It would appear that Real Audio is offering a 14-day free trial, but after that you pay. Am I missing something here?

1. Real is just trying to sucker you
Download their FREE player. No strings attached, and it will work perfectly with Air America...

BTW, why haven't you downloaded RealPlayer before??

3. No you don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Look over at the top right hand side of the screen for the FREE REAL PLAYER!

I wish they hadn't gone Real Player cuz I don't like Real.

Or they should have offered WMP also.

4. you just have to search a bit for it
on their site - they tend to hide it hoping you will pay for the upgrade (completely unecessary in my humble view)

5. No, you don't
Nor do you have to use the free version of Real -- I despise Real and won't install it on my system. I use Real Alternative instead:

Been listening to AA without a hitch, without home-phoning bloatware.

9. YES!
See above post. Real Alternative is one of the best, non-intrusive media players ever. I've not had a single problem with it.

10. I downloaded a free one last night
after I finally figured out that was going to be the only way to hear AA on Mac Jaguar and Safari browser.

Works fine, but since I am still modem, slows down other browsing WAY too much.

Will check in on and off during the day instead of having it on all the time.

14. Try Real ALTERNATIVE Player
Try this if you don't want the obtrusive and spyware laden RealPlayer. RealPlayer is crap.

Real Alternative

http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer or RealOne Player. Supported are: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp). It also supports RealMedia content that is embedded in webpages. RealMedia .smi and .smil files are not fully supported, only the first part will usually be played. This is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic. The RealMedia Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla and Netscape.

15. If you don't want all that extra crap with RealAudio
Download RealAlternative at http://www.click-now.net/html/RealAlternative.htm

or just use the player at http://www.super62.com/listen/index.php

Anything that uses Real hangs my computer after an hour, so I've dumped it.
