Can the DU Buy ad(s) on AirAmerica |
|
Can the DU buy commercial(s) on Air America? I'd donate to a special fundraiser for that!

I read on www.bartcop.com that bart wants some space and has not been able to yet. Did anyone hear Franken doing the ad for bladder bills. It was hilarious

16. It's a win-win, I think. |

DU gets more exposure via Air America. More exposure gets more people joining DU...and more people can mean more money for donations...
And DU gets more influence nationwide.

And I would give money for that in a heartbeat if I had the money to. Imagine how many more actual DUers we would get if that was done!

Radio advertising is very expensive, and I'm willing to bet it would be more cost-effective to take that money and put it toward something more useful.
And if DU can get mentions on Rush Lowbrow and Sean Insannity's shows, I'm sure DU will get a name-drop on AA sometime.
Traffic on DU is increasing more and more each day.
Besides, what the hell would DU sell in a commercial anyway?
I don't like this idea. It seems pointless. THough I think a link to DU from their site would be kinda cool.

19. We could buy a few banner ads on other high traffic sites or something? |
|
just an idea, that way people don't have to type in w-w-w-.-d-e-m... they could just click on the ad.

I'd hold out and wait for them to start adding links. They should add stuff like Kos, Buzzflash, DU, etc.

Just one national spot would cost tens of thousands of dollars, and considering the current AA markets (NY, LA, CHI specifically), which are the biggest/most expensive markets in the country, media time could easily run into the hundreds of thousands.
Better to do a fundraiser for any number of Dem candidates, presidential and congressional.

...for a site like DU, word of mouth is much more effective.
Paid radio advertising is like flushing money down the toilet.
Just remember the old saying from Field Of Dreams: "If you build it, they will come."
