Freeper (Ignorance or a Lie?) talk: "taxes *never* go down"?!

AND "the recession was the result of 9/11"

I coulda screamed last night (at a work related event). A "banker" uttered both of those comments while speaking to a group of first time home buyers. Of course they all nodded in agreement with the person that holds the key to the vault. All smiles and and blowing smoke. I wonder if she even knew that she was mistaken/lying?

For one we all know that the recession started prior to the WTC murders, and while Regressive Taxes rarely (Millage rates can on occasion get cut but rarely, same with sales taxes) drop, Progressive ones do all the goddamned time...

Toss in some really interesting stories from people who've been ripped off by predatory lenders (the "big" bank rep made it sound like they could do no wrong...Even said "We're not in the RE business, we just want the transaction money!" which is only partially true.) and my blood pressure was just a tad high.

This is the sort of bullshit that gets uttered around America daily and oftentimes, like in my case, the only people that know (or care) that a lie is being told are handcuffed by propriety and paycheck.

Fortunately the moderator asked some difficult questions but he too was there not to confront but to facilitate.

Crap.

EDIT: This could just as well be an anti-Corpo Media thread.

1. I think I'm a Nationalist. As in Nationalize the Banks.

We could all end up in Potterville, not Bedford Falls. And to think, Jimmy Stewart was a Republican, but hopefully an old style Republican.

3. You picked one of the only Atheists that I despise.
Wait, he's also a devoted follower of Ayn Rand. A master at the art of being selfish.

Don't worry he likes it the way it is now.
