I'm liking the Majority Report

It's interesting, they are digging into some issues, and are keeping it entertaining. I actually skipped the nightly news tonight. This is more interesting and informative.

Who's the guy they have on now? He used to work for Nadar - he says Nadar has been "compromised" by some people...

I don't know if I agree but it's fascinating.

The woman who's not Lizz was pretty outspoken this morning. The network seems ot have the correct tone - everyone despises the BFEE. Just bring in Malloy for the 10:00 slot, and we will have a winner!

I'm no geek, so how do I do it?

Here's what the instructions say:

Save it to your computer.

Click upload under the avatar image section...find where you saved it to and upload.

Paste the code "personal/125360.gif" in the blank next to that section.

...but for some reason it won't save to my computer (I used to be able to do that before I upgraded to a newer version browser... will have to figure out how to set my browser prefs so I can do that).

Franken was a bit repetitive today. Randi Rhodes got me real fired up and in a way, she's my favorite - but she might be too strong to convert anyone, she's gonna be better maybe at just preaching to the choir.

Janeane Garofolo and Sam Seder's show ("The Majority Report" - 8pm) is on now - it's striking a good balanced between sounding "normal" (Randi doesn't sound very normal but I already love her!) and still being hard-hitting.

"The Majority Report" will probably be the most successful of the current shows in opening people's eyes - which is what we really hope this station does. If you tune it, it sounds like a "normal" news and talk show - only it's the first thing in the media that actually says what's going on. I think people are gonna lap this stuff up.

Already tonight I've heard them cover so many topics - how the voting machines don't give the voter any assurance that their vote was actually recorded correctly, how Condi and Bush were asleep at the wheel before 9/11, how Bush is so busy protecting fetuses today he can't be bothered to say anything about the troops that just got mutilated in his war... Lots of basic stuff people need to hear.
