Bill Clinton's Revenge.
It's just dawning on me now that the latest NYT report that the WH is busy trying to spin the 10,000 pages of the Clinton administrations actions regarding Al Qaeda, might be setting up Bill Clinton's greatest moment.

Not only can his testimony provide political payback to a Party that impeached him for a meaningless lie to cover a personal embarassment, perhaps burying the Republican Party in the stark reality that they disregarded the threat to US interests. He may well bring this administration down, thereby saving Democracy while bringing justice to the 3000 Americans who lost their lives on 9/11.

BC has been strangely silent about what happened on 9/11....being the master politician that we know him to be, could it possibly be that he's been waiting, precisely for this moment, to make history?

1. Bill should, unlike Bush, testify in public.

16. If BC testifies publicly, it should be AFTER the hand puppet's
private testimony. I think that's the fairest way to deal with it, if they don't or won't appear under the same circumstances.

2. One can only hope
I think some interesting stuff will come out of this investigation (to supplement the already interesting developments). Hopefully the American public will take notice. Maybe Clinton is the guy to do this

3. wishful thinking on your part???
it seems to me every week we have enough to "bring this administration down" and yet they just roll merrily on, fucking as many people as they can and getting away with it. (sorry, i've had a bad day)

5. I wish he would, but he's too gracious.
Hopefully Clinton would at least pave alot of the way with his obvious interest and efforts against terrorism. Clarke was impressed, as were others.

He will stop short of saying that Bushco was negligent, though.

7. Has it been verified that BC and AG will testify privately?
I know they are GOING to testify under oath...contrary to our current WH occupier and his protector the vp.

I don't know that I've heard that BC's testimony is going to be private. If I could guess, I'd say Bill would want it to be public.

8. Yeah but "Clinton lied about sex, he's bad, he has no character!"
No matter what he says, the Repugs will go that route on him. And the usual 50% idiots in this country will repeat it with glassy eyed conviction.

Clinton would chew up and spit out that pathetic weasel Bush* if they went head to head in a debate about what Clinton did against Al Qaeda. Sadly, that won't happen.

12. Well, if it's public, you know it will be the most televised event
of this commission's hearings to date. I have no doubt that he will easily be able to defend his administration's actions with regards to AQ. I think he'll be able to describe in wonkish detail what they did while the Republicans were playing personal politics and not looking after the national interest.

This is how moments in history are made and I suspect Bill is up to the task. He knows what and where this administration and their RNC co-conspirators are taking us. What a way to make a comeback...

15. Well, if the Republicans could only have sex to lie about.
Maybe there wouldn't be so many wars.

9. If BC was public
The next day Senator Fito-lay would be calling for perjury charges against him for what in the secret papers the WH is not releasing.

10. Clinton and Gore BOTH agreed to testify; there was a letter recently
from the commission, very pointedly thanking them for their willingness to cooperate; it drew a stark contrast with the Bushista waffling, dissembling and obstructionism.

17. I sure hope that Bill Clinton has a copy of all of those 10,000 pages...
and brings them with him to the Commission when he testifies. Wouldn't that be a b*tch! LOL!
