I'm a New Yorker and today was the FIRST time I heard Hillary (on AA)

And let me tell you I LOVED her!

No wonder the right-wing hates her so much! She's very effective!

I had no idea who she was at first. I came into the room, Franken or someone was interviewing somebody, and she just sounded like a nice down-home woman with a lot of common sense. I though she was some caller who had a good way with words and that touch of Southern accent that makes anyone sound so reasonable and nice.

When I first caught her she wasn't talking about anything in Washington except stuff we all know - but it was so cool to hear someone saying it on the radio for a change. How Bush was messing up and everything - she said it all in really straightforward but hard-hitting terms. Just like some interesting, involved community person who kept active around her town.

Then they're like, We're here with Hillary Clinton! I was like, You Go Hillary!

So she went on to say some really nice stuff about Teresa Heinz Kerry when asked about her. (The interviewer had wanted her to "offer some advice" but Hillary gracefully avoided that.)

God it would be so nice to have intelligent people in the White House again. Someone who wouldn't be afraid to actually go on the radio and talk to the American people now and then.

= = =

I mean, Laura couldn't even dare probably to go on even some hand-picked right-wing talk show - no matter what kind of soft-balls you lob her, she's gonna flub up.

And I'd love to see Cheney's wife go on Howard Stern. You KNOW he'd ask her not only about her lesbian daughter - but also about that lesbian novel Cheney the mother wrote.

What's up with that? Not that it matters or anything.

(Speaking about the gay-hypocrisy angle: I loved Barney Frank today on Franken talking about the Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell-Don't-Translate policy and how Cheney had to take orders from Bush on the gay issue and about how Bush can't appear at the 9/11 Commission "without his chaperone".)

It would just be nice to have somone of honor and dignity back in the White House again. Not these secretive hillbillies with their cowboy boots and phoney accents and God knows WHAT skeletons in their closets.

One of my favorite litmus tests on people is to say: "Did you know Laura Bush killed her boyfriend in a car accident when she was younger?" You score a double-whammy on people when you hit them with this:

(1) It's kind of a bad statement about Laura (although it was ruled an accident - although he was in the OTHER car - and although she had to run a stop sign to hit him)...

(2) And then you say the word "Chappaquidick" and show the person that the REASON they don't know about it is because A REPUBLICAN DID IT.

Best way to win a Freeper over is to show them their world is censored.

She's so intelligent and speaks well. She's so much better than Laura Bush. I look forward to having another president Clinton soon.

4. Scotty, please explain.......... {%
You said, "And then you say the word "Chappaquidick" and show the person that the REASON they don't know about it is because A REPUBLICAN DID IT."

But Chappaquidick is an old Ted Kennedy scandal - and he's a democrat. Am I missing something here?

5. EVERYONE knows about Chappaquidick
Because a Democrat did it.

If Democrat picks his nose they want to go and impeach him over it. The drumbeat. The Mighty Wurlitzer. The So-Called Liberal Media repeats it over and over. Drugdge. Rush. Even so-called mainstream shows just don't let up about it.

A Republican makes a boo-boo and you never hear about it. It just disappears. Down the memory hole.

By the way, did you hear about elderly housekeeping lady who worked for Bush's brother in Fairfax County Virginia - who was mysteriously killed by a PARKED CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY of Marvin Bush's house that slipped out of gear and crushed her against the garage?

I didn't think so.

Which is my point.

6. They demonize Clinton because he had an affair
Neil Bush acknowledged in a depostion that he had sex with women in Thailand while he was there on business. Women who would just knock on his door and then have sex with him. No exchange of money. He said he had no idea why they did that.

Poppy Bush had a mistress the whole time he was in Washington. She even worked for him for some of that time. Everyone in Washington knew her name.

8. It's not the mistress, it's the LIES about the mistress.
If you're going to have a mistress, get divorced, like Giuliani.
