9/11 Commission and the Fallujah incident
My Brain was itching...

Does anyone notice that whenever the Bush White House get's in some sort of bind that something devistating happens and then the attention is directed away from them...

I mean look at what happened here...we had the 9/11 commissions going on and people were starting to see the BS coming out, the Administration was looking bad, pressure for Condi to testify..etc etc...then all of a sudden the thing in Fallujah happens...

Many DU'ers here I'm sure can point to other examples of this...I can't remember them all but I'm sure some can point them out...

It seems to me that every time this Administration get's in a bind...BOOM...something happens and the attention is drawn away from them...

Conspiracy theory or what...?

1. If that is the case
why didn't something happen when Richard Clarke testified? His testimony was like a nuke sooooooooo........ without actually saying it...........

2. Naturally this is conspiracy theory
A pragmatic definition, as used by leading media outlets: What constitutes a dissent from the official version of important political events is a conspiracy theory. If such a theory has to be mentioned because too many fools discuss such ideas, then it has to be ridiculed (let it be the movie JFK, Pearl Harbor, Tonking Gulf, 9/11).

5. Not impossible
I think you know Umberto Eco, Italian researcher and writer, has written the novel The Name of the Rose.

He published an article in a newspaper where he accused the Italian Government of the same thing. Not that they staged covert ops with explosives, but seemingly incredibly foolish political speeches. The resulting turmoil, Eco wrote, replaces the politically dangerous news.

3. But How Does This Diversion Work?
I can understand Janet's nipple to avoid the AWOL/Draft noise, but this one with Clarke doesn't work. If anything it amplifies all the things he was saying as to how getting mucked up in Iraq would make this country less safe.

This regime thinks it beat Clarke and will bury him with Condi's "poor little me" show next Thursday, followed by a full court attempt to make her the next Mother Theresa. They gotta save the real blood and guts for later in the campaign.

6. So does that mean that
all events that happen on the same day are connected and the BCF has a hand in every event?

Please take the tinfoil off, not everything in the world is a WH conspiracy.
