"We only need to remove those who oppose us"
- This line comes from the movie "The Two Towers" but it highlights the simplicity of thought when it comes to dictators, tyrants and despots.

- This is exactly what the Right has been doing for the last several decades: removing their opposition one chess move at a time. They have no desire to share power because they can't imagine a world where Americans worship different Gods and have different opinions and lifestyles.

- They began with removing the free press and replacing it with corporate 'infortainment' so the masses couldn't distinguish between truth, entertainment and opinion. They eliminated the 'checks and balances' on the media which was the Fairness Doctrine. This turned political commentary into one-sided monologues without rebuttal.

- At the same time they attacked the US Constitution. The intent and meaning of the first amendment was transformed into a instrument of religious oppression, state-controlled media and 'free speech zones'. No other amendment was given any relevance except the second...which was used as a means to buy the votes of those who thought having a gun was more important than free speech or democracy. The idea was they could always rise up against a tyrannical government with their pop guns.

- As they worked behind the scenes to change the face of American culture...they waited for the 'perfect storm' of politics: control of all branches of government. Once that was finally accomplished...they no longer had to work in secret and keep up the facade of democracy. Everything was out in the open now. Theocracy. Totalitarianism. Death of the Bill of Rights. Prejudice. Hatred. A government and media that supported corporations over the needs of the people. They have everything they've ever wanted.

- Liberals, progressives and true conservatives have been virtually removed from the decision-making process of the American government. The state-controlled media has made them the enemy of the state...just as they have elevated Bush* to a dictatorial status...above the law and reproach by what they term as his self-serving and 'partisan' opponents.

- Yes...we have our bulletin boards and chat rooms in which we can speak our minds to each other. But the Bush* junta understands that we're no threat to them. We're the gadflies they can easily dismiss because they own what America still calls the 'free press'. We're the 'focus groups'...the 'conspiracy nuts' and liberal heathens. We're the sticky gum on the sole of Bush's* shoe to be scraped off whenever it becomes a bother.

- We're the jews, gays and cripples of Hitler's Germany. We're the 'fringe element' that means nothing in the context of terror and fear and war. We are the vanquished. We lost the cultural war and we're fast on the way to losing everything good about our nation.

- We're in a battle that can't be won by simply showing up to vote. It's much too late for that now. We can't vote the anti-democratic forces or the shadow government out of office because they believe they have a 'divine right' to rule our nation and treat us like serfs and slaves. We can't vote them out because they don't believe in Democracy or representative government. Try voting them out and they'll simply change the rules in the name of the 'war on terrorism', national security or national emergency.

- The bottom line is that they hate what we are and what we think and believe. They're refighting the civil war on their terms and won't relent until they own and control everything. That they're using fascist tactics to accomplish their goals should be a warning to all Americans to wake up and rise up. We either fight on their terms or accept a role as second-class citizens in a corporate/church state.

- It's up to you.

3. Check out Bush's resume
This is not the one that's been going around with inaccuracies, but one that is supported and correct.

Do you still want to vote for Bush even with these convictions?

If so, check out the Real Republican Platform

http://cronus.com/platform

...would you vote for this party?

If yes, then you're most likely a Republican and probably have no business here. If no, then welcome aboard, and of course there's room for you here. Not everyone is against guns, but everyone here is for liberty, democracy, freedom and the pursuit of happiness.

4. what are you talking about?
do you read history?
do you imagine that america is sainted and has trod like a virgin on the face of planet earth?
we didn't get where we are without helping our own damn selves get there.
we owe the wealth of our nation to thievery.
we let greedy corporations be our ambassadors and speak for american policy.
we hired and trained the very dictators and terrrorists we are now fighting{incorrectly the first time, btw}.
we supported the killing of first nation peoples the world over even late into the twentieth century.
we are reaping what we sow because of a beknighted american myopia.
and can you please get a more complicated thought than people like us hate america -- because we don't. but we are realistic, a higher ground that you have incorrectly claimed for your self.

5. Sure, we're liberal enough

The question is really what about your stated stance is worthy of any dignity in our eyes. A lot of us have been through much tougher stuff than you. Front line soldiers become liberals, the rear echelons are the conservatives.

You're an idiot if you imagine we support barbarism. We don't like it in Republicans, we don't like it in Iraqis. We just don't think you are more of a patriot than anyone for clinging to naive pieties. Duty and loyalty may be good things- but to serve leaders and ends that are morally blind and mentally enslaved, to be decieved by provincialisms, diminishes the claim to moral superiority.

You buy into silly propaganda points about taxes too easily and the mythology about gun ownership. There is no individual right to gun ownership in the Constitution. Check the case law. You might want to explain exactly why, if you love and insist on acting in the best interests of America, you resist being taxed more highly. Evidently there are sectors of American society that you hate or are unwilling to suffer for.

So we are left with some serious questions about you. First we're supposedly on the side of barbarism (the Iraqi guerrillas), then we're supposedly too insistent on the standards of civilization (guns, taxes). You believe things that are patently untrue (Bush is a false witness to his doings every day of the week) and only dare to question the ones that your leaders make safe to question (liberals). I think we won't be taking lessons in rigorous thinking or human liberation from mental chains from you anytime soon.

So you're at the beginning at your understanding of how things really work. You will in time understand that conservatives are the people who represents the interests of the Dead and have Death as their deity. The people who struggle for Life and its elevation, its redemption, its expenditure in creativity may not be as impressive and imposing, not as covetous of material power. But among the liberals -of whom many are flaky, sure- are the Living, the spiritually great people of the society.

The inwardly Dead can never overcome their jealousy of the inwardly Alive. That is the fundamental divide in human hostility and, thus, politics. If you are in fact a soldier you are in the business of Death. As a human being you have a choice of becoming its minion or choosing dignity and taking the side of Life in whatever you do. Look at your superiors and tell me that this is not the case, that this is not what separates the wheat from the chaff in your organization.

Don't think that we see barbarism as naively as you do. And be assured that our standard of civilization has integrity and is higher than that of either group you compare us to.

Have a nice day.

6. I mentioned the second amendment...
...only because it's being used...like religion...to buy off a certain segment of the populaton and their sense of false security against tyranny. Depots aren't afraid of guns when they have chemicals that will knock you on your ass if you try to resist.

- I speak of revolution...not of the gun, but of the mind and heart. The Right has already abandoned The People for gold and greed...and much of the Left is now joining them after finding out that fighting for freedom means hard work and sacrifice.
