The Honda/Hoover Poll - Hilarious!
Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 11:05 AM by hatrack
I don't have a link for this (White House Bulletin/National Journal 3/19 - subscription only), but it's brilliant!

Voters' Lack Of Context Makes Political Use of Hoover, Fonda Unwieldy

"A National Annenberg Election Survey of 634 adults, conducted between March 1-15 (+/- 4%) shows:

When asked 'what was Herbert Hoover known for,' 43% 'said he had been president or connected him to the Depression or the stock market crash'; 12% said 'FBI director,' a post held by J. Edgar Hoover; 4% 'cited the Hoover Dam on the Nevada-Arizona border'; 3% 'identified Hoover with the vacuum cleaner'; 8% 'had other answers; and 29% had no answer at all.

When asked what Jane Fonda was known for, 20% cited 'her opposition to the Vietnam War'; 40% 'said actress'; 9% 'cited her exercise videos'; 2% 'cited her relatives - either ex-husband Ted Turner or actor Henry Fonda, her father'; 11% 'gave a variety of other specific answers'; 17% 'had no answer at all.'"

Alas, alas for history!!

1. The stupidification of America.
This is the culmination of the Power Elite conspiracy to destroy education in America. Those too stupid to know history are doomed to repeat it. This way, the Power Elite doesn't have to come up with new schemes to transfer wealth to themselves and to control the ignorant sheeple, they just keep the cycles of military war and class and race war spinning.

2. Herbert Hoover -- the Vacuum Cleaner Guy!

He certainly sucked all the life out the economy.

Personally, I identify Jane Fonda with the photo of her that came out when I was 13 years old. She was sitting nude on a beach covering herself with only her arms -- just barely. God, did that photo fascinate me then.
