Questions from WTC families for Condi Rice |
|
This is from the March 31 edition of the NY Times.
What WTC families would ask Condi
The 9/11 families have issued a lengthy series of questions they want national security adviser Condoleezza Rice to answer. Heres a sample of their questions:
During the transition from the Clinton administration, did former national security adviser Sandy Berger ... provide any advice, information, warning or guidance (regarding) Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden? What was it?
When the new administration came into office, was it aware that Osama Bin Laden had declared war on the U.S. in 1998?
Prior to Sept. 11, did the intelligence community come to the new administration with any requests for additional counterterrorism resources?
Prior to Sept. 11, including especially spring/summer 2001, what information did the intelligence community provide to the National Security Council indicating the possibility of terrorist attacks inside the U.S.?
Prior to Sept. 11, what information did the intelligence community provide to the NSC on Al Qaeda activities and infrastructure inside the U.S.?
Prior to Sept. 11, did the NSC ever consider alerting the American people to the internal threat from Al Qaeda?
Prior to Sept. 11, did the intelligence community provide the NSC with any information regarding the possibility that Al Qaeda would use airplanes as weapons?
Prior to Sept. 11, did the NSC consider the use of military force against Al Qaeda in Afghanistan (news - web sites)?
Why was there no military response to the attack on the destroyer Cole?
