hijackings"? Sometime around the time that one of the NYC tabloids ran a story with the headline "BUSH KNEW"? Edmonds story simply verifies Condi's original story.

Condi has told so many stories it's hard to keep them all straight, but I'm certain that an early incarnation was that they knew that planes would be hijacked, but not used as missiles. Which is very close to what Edmonds is saying. Edmonds doesn't say they knew that they were going to fly the planes into buildings, only that the planes would be used to attack three cities with skyscrapers.

She added: "There was general information about the time-frame, about methods to be used ­ but not specifically about how they would be used ­ and about people being in place and who was ordering these sorts of terror attacks. There were other cities that were mentioned. Major cities ­ with skyscrapers."

that she said they never thought anyone would fly airplanes into buildings. I believe it was around April 2002? I saw the press conference live and my mouth is still on the floor. I believe it was carried on CNN.
