Help w/Air America
Just today I'm trying to listen, but it fades in an out, mostly out. I have a brand new computer with lots of memory and my ISP is cable.

How do I get it to stay on so I can listen? Help and Thanks!

2. I sometimes have that problem too...
If you are listening on the Internet, at times you will have a few minutes of dead air, because of some broadcasting rules and regs which are too complicated for me to understand, local commercials cannot always be played over streaming internet broadcasts.

Sometimes, however, the audio seems to just pause in the middle of a comment, and it comes back a few seconds later. I think that is unavoidable, it happens to me as well.

Hope that helps!

4. I get that intermittent silence of a few seconds
It's probably just their connection. Someone posted tips here yesterday for testing your connection speed. Let's see if I can remember how to do it in RealPlayer:
Tools>Preferences>Connection(on the left in the tree)>Test Connection

This might help tweak your connection. Good luck!

5. Thank You
It is frustrating. I bookmarked the Air American web site and clicked on the link to hear the live program. The real player pops up and starts streaming audio, but the most I can get is somewhere between 1 to 2 minutes of audio, and right in the middle of a comment it bombs for a couple of minutes, then comes back.

If this happens to others, then I know it is not my computer. It just did it right now in the middle of the Tim Robbins new play commerical.

Nuts!!!

7. I've had no problems with my RealPlayer.
I hear commercials and have had no problems with the sound cutting out.

8. Thanks, all.
The green bar with the red arrow says "communicating" when the audio stops. Its frustrating as all get out.

I will try one of the other web sites.

9. The AirAm and WLIB streams are the live ones
I think the others only broadcast the Franken, Rhodes, and Garafalo.
