Bush* popularity is slipping in OHIO! |
|
Only 46% of respondents in new University of Cincinnati survey approves Bush's* foriegn policy. Only 38% approve his domestic policy. Just heard this on local news on WMUB (Miami University, Oxford, OH). Let's hope the trend continues.

BUsh will pump his millions into Ohio and, unfortunately, effectively change public opinion in his favor. lets hope the reality, and not the ads, work

2. For other than all of the overiding reasons... |
|
If my state had lost over 275,000 jobs in the last three years (and my state DID lose over 100,000 jobs) because of him, I wouldn't find him very "popular", either!

9. Not to mention all those MU graduates who |
|
Can't find work. My son graduated from there in December, and he is working for A&F, which is where he has worked since 1996. Hope that god awful tuition we payed, in cash thank you very much, helps him someday. BTW most of his graduating friends are waiting tables or doing retail too, jobs that normally teenagers fill. Thank god he doesn't have a bag full of student loans on his shoulders too. At least we were able to make sure of that.
As an Ohio resident, we live how bad the economy is. Gas prices through the roof, food prices even higher, LOTS of folks out of work, and just in time for the election, somewhere around 120,000 folks in Ohio about to come off the unemployment rolls because their benefits are gone.
No wonder Ohio is losing more of its younger people than ANY other state. I'd leave too if I were a young person.

17. Too bad most of the people in cincy |
|
Like that jack-ass. Every time Cheney comes to Cincy, they shut down some of our major roads.... and they act like they are in touch with ordinary Americans.... yeah right.

My father-in-law lives in Ohio and he is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, fiscal conservative. His mind is completely closed during any discussion of politics and he listens to FOX News while exercising in the basement.
And yet... when we were visiting a week ago, he kept making wisecracks at Bush's expense, particularly about the whole National Guard story.
In January, he said "Just vote for Bush and everything will be fine."
By the end of March, he's making fun of Bush.
The Republicans are on thin ice, even in Ohio.

10. It's not who votes that counts... |

it's who counts the votes, and Wally O'Dell of Diebold is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President next year."

11. Ohio lost jobs under Bush |
|
As previously reported in this thread. That's why they've decided they can't afford Bush anymore.

Ohio is key to this election. I am working to chip away at the bastion of Ohio conservatism, Cincinnati. Please visit www.liberalnet.com if you live in the Cincinnati area.

16. Get involved with ACT in Ohio |
|
America Coming Together (ACT) is setting up offices in Ohio right now. If you PM me I will try to find a number for the nearest office to you. Not all counties are up and running. More help is needed.
