U.S. Extends Fingerprinting Rule to Millions More Visitors

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/02/politics/02CND-TRAV.html?ex=1081573200&en=673fa03caad258a2&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLE

The time has arrived, I do not think I will be visiting the US any day soon anymore. I guess my friends will just have to come over to Europe. I have no record, yet I refuse to allow others treating me as a criminal.

--------------
Mr. Hutchinson said the procedures are quick and unobtrusive and have helped Homeland Security and State Department officials intercept more than 200 people suspected of criminal or immigration violations. The people have included convicted rapists, drug traffickers and individuals convicted of credit-card fraud, he said.
--------------

It's obvious the REAL criminals (ENRON etc. etc.) are going to be caught now too right??????????

Cheers US people, Love you all, hate your government and law system.

Well good for you, allthough there was someone that said once that it's your job too to clean up the mess and start the riot. It's your country, lots has gone bad, but the foundation is the people.

I think it's just another way to try to keep people from getting the help they need.

TX spends close to the LEAST amount per capita in aid to needy families. Them thar's sum jin-yoo-ine famlee valyoos!

...we capture fingerprint images and compare them to prevent dual participation. In theory.

Yes, it's intimidating and expensive. We should knock the program off.

20. Here's the funny part: in FL, you don't have to register a gun
It's true! You can have bushels of 'em all over the house, and they don't have to be registered.

Only a small percentage of folks have a CCW...as for folks who have guns, well, there's simply no way to even determine that.

11. Dam - No change in status forn CDNs entering US
... who may enter the United States without passports.
I'll have to use my "real" reasons for not entering -- disgust with election tampering in 2000, illegitimate wars, aversion to the death penalty, religious fanatics, gay bashing, ....
But I would gladly welcome the many good and courageous true Americans into my home -- without a strip search :)

Here's an idea, put something sharp on your nail, or if it's sharp already, don't bother, and scratch it up every time you finger print :), if the whole nation would start doing that! - that would be GREAT :D

40. I have a friend who has dual S. African/U.S. citizenship
He and his wife just had a baby, but he told his elderly mother to not even try to visit. Apparently getting a visa is such an ordeal, with people being grilled to the point of insanity by the U.S. consulate that she would be required to stand in a line for hours. An old woman--very dangerous you know.
