Hawking her book on CNN right now. After criticizing Clarke for wanting to "sell books" look what the bitch is doing. GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. This CNN spot right now is all bush* all the time - no one to rebut a thing especially John King.

was writing his book". She pisses me off.

2. Time for Clarke to point out that all of them are selling books.

Would be a very good counter-point.

26. You know, I'm kinda glad she's going on all these shows.
She comes across so obnoxious, so loud, so hard, eyes so flinty, never lets the host get a word in edgewise . . . she has GOT to be putting a lot of people off with that act!

15. If she were black or gay...
...would it be okay to use either of those facts as a reason to disparage her? Please understand that to denigrate anyone because of his or her weight is no different.

If we can't live by that truth here at DU, I hold little hope for the future of Liberalism.

24. She revealed how Cheney runs Chimpy on NPR
although that was not her intent.

I listened to that Diane Rehm show today. One point Diane asked her what she thought about the recent cartoon showing Bush as a puppet and Dick Cheney as the puppeteer. Karen was all aghast and scandalized over it. Said it was uncalled for, etc---and then quickly launched into a homily about how Dick Cheney is such a 'quiet' man.
She went on at length about how there was nothing odd about them testifying TOGETHER at the 911 commission, that Cheney won't interfere with Bush's answers. She went on more about how Bush makes all the decisions and talks the most at meetings.

She just couldn't quit at that and then said something I thought was quite revelaing and which actually confirmed the question that Diane Rehn had asked about does Cheney tell Chimpy what the policies will be...Karen said, and I wrote this down almost after she said it, so it is almost verbatim:

"Dick Cheney speaks in an amount inversely proportional to the number of the people in the room."

I thought this was directly contradictory to the point she was trying to make and gloss over this. This would mean when they are alone together Cheney speaks more than Bush? Well it proves the point if you ask me that Cheney runs Chimpy, especially in their more private moments. Which is exactly the opposite of the point she was trying to make.

That woman is a fast and furious talker, but I am not sure she listens to herself either.

12. but is it really "her" book?
Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 06:57 PM by Lisa
Apparently she ghost-wrote Bush's "autobiography" (A Charge to Keep) -- and he thought it would be cute to write hers (To Keep a Charge) -- that was "her" first book.

p.s. that would explain why he's been taking all those long plane rides -- cover for his literary efforts. Hah!

21. I wonder if it reads as badly as
Bush speaks. Begala read a Bush statement about entertaining some Saudis on his ranch last year. It was like reading Fun with Dick and Jane.:
"I took him around the ranch. It was fun. We saw a turkey, which was nice. I like taking people around in my red truck."
Or something to that effect.

I saw her on Jon Stewart flogging her book, continuing the character assassination of Richard Clarke. She's a fool in stepford clothing (mixed fibres -- an abomination according to the "BOOK") -- nevertheless cunning.
