Does anyone understand the BLS hourly wages info?

It would seem to me that wages should be going down with all of the lower wage job creation and good wgae manufacturing jobs vanishing (Toss in the once mighty Tech jobs too). I suppose the increase is barely up with inflation but I would think it would be sinking. OTH is the TOP added in? And is it so great that most of us could be rotting in the streets and the average hourly income would remain stable?

IIRC it's based on a telephone survey so I guess it could include just about anyone?
