'Simple Mistake' about WMD?
Imagine a CEO of a major corporation ignoring the advice of all known intelligence and engaging his company in a course of action leading to a vast fortune being squandered and many lives being lost.

That CEO would be thrown out of office so quick it'd make the stock market spin.

Yet that is precisely what many pundits are proposing we do for the squatter in OUR Whitehouse. "Awwww shucks, he was simply mistaken about WMD"

Don't let them get away with it. After all, most of those same scribblers say that government should be run like a business.

1. Not a simple mistake at all- an example of faulty decision-making.

This is not honest mistake by the Bush admin. They wanted their war, they trumped=up the intelligence, and now they will have to answer to the American people.

You are right- a CEO would be on his/her way out the door by now (albeit with a tidy severance package).

2. Except that
RoveCo were warned RELEATEDLY and POINTEDLY about AQ. This is, IMO, what separates this. Anyone could mishandle one warning, but a screw-up of this magnitude could not have been a screw-up. LIHOP.

3. What did I miss?
Who made the statement that it was a simple mistake?

5. 'Twas on another thread tonight
The hypocrits are falling all over themselves making up excuses for the WMD mistake. It was no mistake. It was done on purpose. Another Bush MIHOP.
