Now the shrubbers taking credit... |

for the 308000 jobs in March. He has conveniently left out that a large number of them come from California and the major grocery store strike ending. I'd like to see what that does to the jobs picture in April, when all the temps working there can't find work. Also, how come he doesn't take credit for the .1% rise in unemployment?

first rule of politics. in this one instance, i'd have to say that all politicians do this to a hefty extent.
what is worth hammering is, as you say, the big numbers don't translate to a better job market on the ground. people know when their in demand, and this month didn't change anything for anyone.

the jobs until 11:22. Top of the news was gas prices. The guy also said that 220,000 (?) were service jobs. People have to feel that the economy is improving and with low paying jobs being created they aren't going to feel too good. I would think that many of these people took these jobs because they have been out of work for so long and needed some kind of work.

were all these 308000 new jobs located in the U.S.? How do they get their figures. If a U.S. company hires 1000 new workers in India, do they count those in the total new jobs for the month of March?
