TAIPEI, Taiwan (CNN) -- Tens of thousands of Taiwan opposition supporters gathered on Saturday to demand an independent inquiry into an election-eve assassination attempt on President Chen Shui-bian that they say swung the poll.

Think that something similar might occur here in the States? Maybe
a "faux assassination" against shrub in order to suspend the
elections or create sympathy? :shrug:
