A few years ago, remains of large mammals were found in the tar pits in California. It is the vision I have of these present "mammals" in charge of this nation. They have stepped into the tar pits (lies) and they seem to be having difficulty stepping out of the goo. The more they try, the deeper they sink.

From Iraq to the economy to the war on terrorism, it has been one lie after another. They play it by ear, day after day after day. Now, they find themselves mired in contradiction, because they never planned anything. In short, they were incompetent. Their incompetence made it easier to lie because the truth would have been unbearable - even to themselves.
