"Bush is a chief executive on training wheels."
Edited on Sat Apr-03-04 04:48 PM by Zinfandel
(From the San Francisco Chronicle) Something everyone knows at DU, Bush will fuck up anything if left alone to do it on his own. How does that saying go? Bush can fuck up a ____ ____ blank, blank, how does the last part go? Doesn't really matter, we all know what a fuck up Bush is.:nuke:

Washington -- House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco blasted the White House on Friday for insisting that President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney testify together before the commission investigating the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, saying it makes it look like Bush is a chief executive on training wheels. :dunce:

"It's embarrassing to the president of the United States that they won't let him go in without holding the hand of the vice president of the United States,'' Pelosi, the House minority leader, told reporters in her Capitol offices. "I think it speaks to the lack of confidence the administration has in the president going forth alone.'' :hurts:

2. What are they afraid of if they have nothing to hide ?
Isn't that what they say about all the infringements upon our civil rights, from checkpoints to drug tests? Are they afraid they will get caught in a lie? All they have to do is tell the truth. They are so transparent.

5. I'll be curious to see who actually responds to the panel's questions...
Will * simply sit there and nod while Cheney responds, or will * try and answer the questions while Cheney acts as interpreter?

7. I don't think we'll ever know, they don't want us to know...that's why
Bush/Cheney "advisor's" insisted (and demanded) the "meeting" be held behind close doors...no American citizens allowed to see and hear and no media to report what was said...

This isn't rocket science here, there are no secrets to worry about...just what the fuck did you do to stop terrorism from the first day you assholes took office...

Why the secrecy?

8. I think that it has been made clear. Using their own reasoning...
If Hussein couldn't prove that he didn't have WMD, then it was evidence that he did have them. Well, let's see now. If * and Cheney can't prove that they weren't aware of the threat and let it happen on purpose, then they must have know everything, and proceeded to let it happen on purpose. How is that for repug logic?

12. I have a fantasy
that a 911 Commissioner asks Smirk a question and when Cheney starts to answer for him the Commissioner says "NO, Mr. President, I asked YOU to respond, NOT Mr. Cheney!" Smirk would then stammer and bluster and flub the question.

It could happen.....

I'm not convinced the Commission is entirely thrilled with the Dynamic Duo simultaneous testimony. They may be looking to put the screws to them.

20. Barney Frank on AA referred to Cheney as Bush's "chaperone"
Barney Frank said that Bush can't go to the 9/11 Commission "without his chaperone."

I think the word CHAPERONE should be repeated endlessly by us. It will REALLY aggravate the right wing and point out just how incompetent Junior is.
