7. you know the majority of kids
don`t realize that the draft is ready to go in 2005 if bush get`s reselected. my daughter tells her friends and they don`t believe her. she reads du and bbc for her government class in high school. before i graduated from high school ,the teacher in my current events class said the guys in his classroom will be fighting in nam..i knew it was coming but a hell of alot didn`t untill the notices came in the mail. i refused to go and luckily i didn`t get prosecuted for refusing but alot of my friends were not so lucky- they went.

Or helped kill.

I'd hate for people to think we care more about american lives the iraqi lives.

23. I honestly don't think I can look. I do wish America wasn't so sheltered
from this war though.

Makes it pretty easy to wave that ol' flag and praise Bush when we are seeing a sanitized version of the events in Iraq.

Unless of course it is the pics of "Iraqi Insurgents" :eyes:

12. So very sad. My Dad was stationed at Fort Riley before he went to
Vietnam. I was born in the Army hospital on base.

These pictures are heartbreaking.

15. And who are the repubs, taking up a collection for?
Edited on Sat Apr-03-04 06:29 PM by FearandLoathing41
So several heavily Republican sights, like AR15.com, are taking up collections for the families of the victims, but guess what. none of the guys pictured above's loved ones gets a cent!

Why you ask?

Because, they were not High Speed, Low Drag enough.

High Speed, Low Drag being one of the favorite ways guys on Gun Boards, like AR15.com describe their cult like worship of anybody who's ever been though any kind of advanced military training, EVER.

You see, once a soldier attains glamorous High Speed, Low Drag Status, He can never ever do anything wrong in the eyes of the military worshiping sycophants on the gun boards. For the rest of that High Speed, Low Draggers life, even long after he's left the military. Any question about his morals or conduct, is considered, disrespect of the Military. (though They seem to make exception to the no disrespect of the military rule, when it suits them, because it seems questions about John Kerry's military service are fair game over there.)

So does it come as any shock to us, that the passing of the collection plate for the families of the Fallujah victims, is not being urged for the five young Uniformed Service Men pictured above, BUT THE HIGHLY PAID MERCENARY'S WHO GOT THEMSELVES KILLED IN FALLUJAH INSTEAD!!!

Thats right, you think the republicans cut tax breaks for the Rich? Well this is almost as good. Now the heavily republican AR15.com is paying scant attention at all, to the families of the actual five soldiers killed in Fallujah, as they fall all over themselves to send money to the Family of Hollywood Scott Helveston, Star of the reality TV Series Combat Missions, Combat Trainer to the Stars, star of TV commercials, hawker of Seal Training Iron Man Video Tapes and $100,000.00+ a year celebrity mercenary killer for hire from Blackwater Inc.

I kid you not, this is the guy, whose family, their helping collect funds for. Not the families of the real uniformed soldiers, who made in about a year, what Hollywood Helveston made in two weeks, Pay wise.

You have to wonder if there's not some latent homosexual tendancy, that prompts grown men on gun boards to suddenly submit, to one of these egotistical overbearing alpha males, who has a SEAL tattoo and has shown his chiseled glistening muscles on a war related telivision show, as they have by sending money to the ghost of Scott Helveston...

Just pow, you mention, that he was a SEAL and all reason leaves these guys as their knee's hit the floor. He could'a raped children and the republican gun board war whores, would'nt care, as long as he was Glamorous, High Speed and Low Drag.

17. Here's how the SOB's justify their complete lack of
empathy for the soldiers:

"As far as the military, they know what they are getting into when they enlist. This wasn't a draft, they enlisted knowing good and well what they were being trained for. If they wanted free college, the military isn't the place to get it if you don't wanna go to war. They protect the freedom we all have. Without bloodshed, we wouldn't have the freedom we have today. It is sad that lives must be lost, but this is a small count considered to the amount of time we were at war."

And this is from a woman who considers herself a strong Christian and patriotic -- she sat up all night watching Shock and Awe. Her kids aren't quite old enough to worry about getting drafted yet.

I argued with her, (this is on a nonpolitical message board) pointing out all the lies, and admissions of lies, and that the president is immoral for letting the troops die for lies, but she was unmoved. That's the mentality we are up against.

18. Face it, they are all
toy soldiers to them. Like those little green ones you could buy at the store. Stand them all up neatly and they look identical, interchangeable, and thoroughly disposable. Just order up some more to replace them. Problem solved.
