I know this isn't exactly the time to prophesize, but I believe that by 2034, one of the two parties will go the way fo the Whigs and Federalists. I can't tell who it will be, but I believe it will be because of another economic crisis, probably related to the collapse of Social Security and Medicare, and if at it's worst, the begining of Global Warming's toll on Earth. Plus, poltical partisanship will continue to become more divisive. The party in power that can't fix these problems (regardless of their stance on them) will die out quickly, and a new party will emerge, and the political interest group coalitions will be in new parties (we maybe even be Repugs in two generations from now) as a result. The dismantling of the Federal Bank by Andrew Jackon helped form the Whigs, and the regional divide over slavery killed them and created the GOP, and a series of Domestic crisis will create a large realignment.

* may be twisted, but he won't declare martial law or establish dictatorship. Besides, the Sheeple will scream out when Jeb runs.

But my point if that the impending economic crisis of the 2020's and 2030's will wreck havoc on our political system. I don't know which party will be killed, but it's result will be new political party versus the survivor. But if the Repugs die off, that doesn't necessarily mean good for us. We could end up being the Conservatives, while the new party is Liberal. Interest group that are in opposite parties could merge together (ie. environmentalists and Libertarians could be in one party, while fundies and one of our other constituents are in another)
