How long before they start blaming us for all the dead soldiers?
Many on the Right have tried to pin the blame for our loss in Vietnam on anti-war activists. The logic goes something like this: our speaking out against the war and marching in the street gives mojo to the enemy and diminishes the morale of the troops in the field, thus making them less effective soldiers.

Now it's getting harder and harder to defend the notion that things are going just swimmingly in Iraq, so the Right is going to need someone to blame other than themselves (the Right has always been less willing than the Left to admit when they're wrong). So how long before we start to incur the blame because their little war isn't going exactly according to the PNAC blueprint?

1. Aren't they....
already doing it? When you remember the run-up to the war, you'll realize that blaming the protestors was started immediately.

3. seriously...
I have been told by some repugs that myself and people like me on the left pray that our soldiers come back in body bags to make the Bu$hCo look bad...
I have been told by those same repugs that because I don't support the troops...I support the terrorists that are killing them...and because I support the anti-war protests that I am undermining the mission in Iraq...

Of course that's the furthest from the truth...and what's funny is that some of them that are saying those things have never even bothered to sign up and serve their country like I did...

4. Well how can you say some one is better at fighting than us?
You could almost sit in a chair and watch what was happening in Vietnam. No one knew what we were fighting for and those people did know what they were fighting for. Not hard to see who would win even if we killed 100 to 1. It was easy to blame the people here that could see all this, and frankly many said they did stop it.If you did not like this war the Christian right and Neo-cons have already said we were anti-American. They are very black and white people. They are right!!!!

5. The blood of this war is on the hands of Bu$hCo
I'm waiting for a Nixonian "secret plan" be announced to clear the right's guilt. It was the leftist Clinton admin that made us invade.

Vietnam crushed LBJ. Why shouldn't Iraq bring this PNAC mob down.
When you needlessly send troops to die you must pay the ultimate political price.

7. They already have.
In their twisted little minds it's never those who send them to war who are to blame for their deaths, it's those who want them to stay home who are responsible.

9. Right from the start they did. Remember?
"You shut the fuck up and get behind our President, you Murka Hater!"

The magical thinking that if you speak out against TWAT, then Jesus will cry, and the Magical 9-11 teddy bears will stop working, and people's sons won't come home alive.

you haven't seen that? Put up the yellow ribbons, fly a shredded stars and stripes from your SUV, Buy every "9-11 commemorative" POS that comes up on QVC, Tell everyone that "We're at WAR! you can't speak bad about the President when we're at WAR! those kids are fighting for your FREEDOMS!"

They've blamed the anti-war crowd from Day One.
