1. They put fricking concertina wire around the whole city
WTF do they think they are doing? Gonna round them all up like cattle?

This thing is so far beyond hopeless its just amazing.

We are sooooooo screwed. Credibility completely and utterly shot, military in disarray, neo-cons gunning for more craziness and Murkins still 50% in favor of conquest.

2. are they saying, "bring it on?"
You'd think the war cry of our Commander in Grief would be saying on television, bring it on. And these are 21st century civilized times. Soon my nephew will be over there as a national reservist,, it sickens me to think I'll lose someone under a president who stole the oval office then turned the White House into the Blood House.

4. that, and the fact that
as of this morning we have the Sunnis (Fallujah), Shi'ites (all over the place) and the Kurds (Kirkut) ALL fighting against the occupation forces...

the bush invasion has done something that has never happened in the history of Iraq... all three factions are fighting a common enemy instead of each other!

bravo chimp, destroyer of nations

15. ...And when all the factions are....
Wahhabi -sunni - Kurdish - Bat’this and Shi’ite

The civil war will be put on the back burner.

One thing and one only did junior have right, and that is when he said, "I'm not into nation building"

5. Remember the difference between "terrorists" and us...WE don't target
innocent civilians. Like we didn't bomb Baghdad. Simple you just pretend we aren't doing it and lo and behold...we aren't terrorists! Magic.

13. Didn't you get the memo?
If we target them, they're "guilty." If they target them, they're "innocent" and "heroes" and "martyrs" and "fathers" and "motehrs" and "children" and ... :puke:

7. I hope it's not a trap ? !
Get the Marines inside and surround them? I hope we have better preparation than to let something like that happen?? I have so little faith in our leaders today....

12. The stormings of Grozny..
I have a feeling it may resemble one of them if the level of arrogant bluster is maintained, which of them--I cannot say just yet.

There were several attempts. The first saw an arrogant column of infantry and exposed armour march up to the city centre; they were massacred by the people of the city. This having failed, the city was destroyed by thousands of bombs dropped from high in the air and artillery shells fired from miles away, turning the land into a giant graveyard. The '99 attempt saw the city sealed off and destroyed again, filling graves with thousands more.

The same bullshit and bluster by unbloodied suits acting tough for the press is displayed. How it plays out later is to be determined.

8. And WP reports 10,000 militia, not 2,000
This could be much uglier than they are letting on.

9. more
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 10:03 AM by Aidoneus
Curfew imposed on the city, will last for several days. Demonstrations of any kind are outlawed. Every major or minor entrance sealed off, nobody in or out. Reporters barred from the area, though al-J is in communication with people inside the city under siege. The hospital is being blocked off from the city, food and supplies are not able to be transported in or out.

Already heavy fighting in one district. The invaders suffered casualties, so they called in airstrikes and destroyed many houses. Citizens are very enraged and will only support the resistance ever more. Propaganda from the occupyers is being handed out to residents, speaking of house-to-house searches all over the city.

Fox News will carry more coverage live! later, like it was a fucking wrestling match.
