Young Republicans: Sign up for Iraq!
This is a message for all you young supporters of the Grand Old Party. It's time for you to put your money where your mouths are! You need to support YOUR great president by enlisting in the armed services, and volunteering to go to Iraq.

Just today, one general says we need more troops there - now. So, you should just forget basic training (the opposition, according to your president, will welcome you with flowers, and they are really only foreigners anyhow), and hop on a flight to Bagdahd. Maybe even bring that gun you are so proud of?

I mean, after all, this is war, right? And not just any war, but the PNAC's war.

Since you support the president 100%, well, just sign on the dotted line.

Because, you see, there are not enough volunteer Army folks, or Reserves, or National Guard troops, to quell the insurrection and attacks in Iraq.

I mean, you don't want to be like Bill Clinton, do you? He avoided service in a war he thought was immoral.

But YOU think this war is very moral - the one in Iraq I mean. You don't want to avoid combat service in a war you support. You need to follow the lead of YOUR president & vice president - oops, that would mean staying home by lying and going AWOL.

So, head on down to that local recruiter. Support the need for more troops in this wonderful war!

Or are all you young fire breathers just as chicken-hearted as your elders?

1. Yes they are! I handed out enlistment forms to Bush supporters
when he was in Boston for a fundraiser. Only one had served in the military, and the other young Republicans had 'other priorities' like college. You should have seen the looks on their faces-like they would even DEIGN to join the military! Little shits.

19. There were 1,000 anti-Bush protesters, and a dozen Bush supporters
at the end of the protesters, they got into a fight with some of the union guys that were at the rally. the cops had to step between the two groups. Of course, the Bush-Cheney chickenhawks started the altercation. All mouth and no muscle.

13. What a great idea!
Bring recruitment materials to Young Republican events! They believe that service to their country means voting republican and waving a flag and nothing more.

15. Actually, this would be great.
And what a perfect way to get into the local press. I think I'll check my local college paper for the next Hitler Youth, I mean, Young Republican, meeting, and go there and recruit - with a reporter!

6. Yes they should sign up
They supported the illegal, immoral war and are currently supporting the occupation, so it's only logical.

7. Remember the Hardball College Tour?
Tweety would ask the college audience if they supported * going into Iraq and the audience would cheer. And when he asked who would enlist to go fight - and you could hear "the sound of one hand clapping".

8. .
On Freerepublic they are often like "Let's nuke them!" or "Kill them all!".
Seems like they don't walk the walk...
They prefer to ask the sons and daughters of other mommies and daddies to go die in that war they love so much. How noble.

10. and that saddest thing of all
is that the media completely ignores this "disconnect." Where are journalists asking Young Republicans why they are not enlisting? I mean, what a great story this would be - or great series.

12. My ad...
Good post!! Loved it.

Have a friend in the Army that just hates these pukes that are so eager to send someone else to a war. He went to one rally for the troops and Bush - in uniform - and asked them to join up. He’d even lead them to the recruiting station. They all looked the other way! And when was this? Why, it was just weeks after 9/11!

He hates them all, esp. the red-necked, God-fearin’, gun toting, gay hating, black hating, jew hating, Hispanic hating, Catholic hating, America love it or leave it types. Thinks they should all join up, go to Iraq, and get killed – just so we’ll have fewer of them. A lot of military families are figuring it out and questioning Bush. News story on one of the networks recently had an Army Captain just back from Iraq. Lost 6 friends in Iraq. This guy is a West Point grad, married with 2 kids – and he’s going to get out of the Army. First job – work for Kerry for President. Said Bush deceived us all.

Here’s my idea for an ad…
In the background, show that evil 911 clip Bush used with fake firemen and real dead.
Run side clips of repukes glorifying the troops and asking for their support.
Run a side clip of that General asking for more troops – now!
Then, run that clip of Bush asking for sacrifice.

End it with, “If you think this war is right, that your President is right, that you support his actions, that you love America – then you should enlist. More than ever, your country needs you now.”

21. and here's where the joke is on them:
like the NASCAR dad types, they will have no jobs (or low paying ones) in just a few years. They will then, no doubt, blame some minority for same, not the fools who lead their party.
