Who really thinks Zelikow found that WWII article?
I'm sure, with all the duties Zelikow has covering up for his bud Condi, and his boss Bush, that he had tons of time to go through old newspaper morgues, looking for instannces of executive privilege being overridden, especially when they occurred YEARS before the first employment of such privilege.

does anybody wonder that this was another cute ploy by the pugs?

A ploy designed to fight off the slowly emerging story of the utter shamelessness behind the conflict of interest behind Zelikow's close relationship with the Bush junta, both through his transition job regarding counter terrorism, AND the coincidence of his having written a book with, uh, who was that.....I forget?

They're inoculating him against such charges by saying, "See, he's the guy who FOUND out that there's a precedent, therefore he's got no conflict with us"

yeah

sure

1. Oh, and I heard Eleanor Clift last night on the radio saying she TRUSTS
the 911 commission to do a good job; thinks they're doing a fine job so far.

THIS in the face of her Wizard of Oz article, decrying the idea of the chimp and his puppeteer testifying, oops, they're not testifying, before the commission.

doesn't she see the internal conflict in her own logic there?

why doesn't she interview people like Breitweiser, REPUBLICANS who have been shown the door, basically, by the likes of that AHole Kean, who said on MTP how valuable the widows have been, while IGNORING the bulk of their questions--the very thrust of their interests in finding out what really happened in the months leading up to 911.

what a sick joke our pablum-serving media are

2. I don't wonder.
I am convinced this was fed thru admin channels to itself, then to media. It is just another one of their political ass covering ploys.

KPFA Democracy NOW! had an interesting factoid pop up before the 'photos' surfaced in the media. Basically, the senate was ready to pass a vote on demanding Condoleeza to testify. Would have passed with a significant amount of Republican's votes added to the Dems.

3. Good catch. I thought it was strange, that photo, but then all is strange
these days. But, does sound like a red herring.

Thanks for the "reality check!"

5. yes, I did, and it nauseated me
actually, to give Clift a bit of credit, by subtraction, I think I mixed her up with one of those tools, about the Zelikow cooperation you mention

also, did you notice how Russert, somehow, forgot to put up any of those two buffoons' VERY castigating remarks from a few months ago, regarding the STONEWALLING the commission was suffering at the hands of the junta?

funny how he didn't seem to remember to confront them with any of their criticisms of all the footdragging, huh?
