"Bush vs. Kerry" polls may show a close race, but people are NOT happy!
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 01:57 PM by Brotherjohn
Look at these four latest polls (all "right track/wrong track" polling for the past month). They are not even close. Despite all the spin, people can see that something is SERIOUSLY WRONG, and this does not bode well for Bush:

The Los Angeles Times Poll. March 27-30, 2004.
"Do you think things in this country are generally going in the right direction or are they seriously off on the wrong track?"
Right Direction: 36%
Wrong Track: 55%
No Opinion: 9%

Gallup Poll. March 8-11, 2004.
"In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?"
Satisfied: 39%
Dissatisfied: 60%
No Opinion: 1%

NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll. March 6-8, 2004.
"All in all, do you think things in the nation are generally headed in the right direction, or do you feel that things are off on the wrong track?"
Right Direction: 41%
Wrong Track: 49%
Mixed: 5%
Not Sure: 5%

Associated Press-Ipsos poll. March 1-3, 2004.
"Generally speaking, would you say things in this country are heading in the right direction, or are they off on the wrong track?"
Right Direction: 35%
Wrong Track: 60%
Not Sure: 5%

1. Indeed, Sir
These are figures that bode ill for any incumbent with an election looming....

"Desperate men do desperate things, and stupid men do stupid things. We are in for a desperately stupid summer."

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

4. If boosh* were to take a dive for cheney's lap...
...people might get the wrong impression right impression wrong impression right impression wrong impression right impress..... aw, screw it. Let's just say it'd be interesting to hear the spin on it.

What we need, at this point, is to start tying those "unhappy" numbers directly to boosh* and his policies. Remember, Our Glorious Leader :urp: needs to be put on the defensive and kept there for the next seven months. (I know, obvious, but I specialize in the obvious.)
