What is U.S.'s problem with the French? |
|
For chirst sakes. For centuries the French have been developing enlightnement ideas. Ideas which changed the world and shed light on ideals proposed in our own constitution. Is it just becasue of these ideals we hate them for, not helping us in the Iraqi war (excuse me "War against Terrorism"), what the hell is it. I'm french were not very bad people.

they eat more butter and cream than any other nationality, yet have a very low incidence of obesity and longevity that surpasses the US. It's more their lifestyle: less stressful and more of a family- and social-safety net.

But, I think many Americans have gotten the impression that the French are snooty/haughty types who look down on anything not French.
I don't agree with that, but I think that is the general impression...

We're snooty/haughty types who look down on anything not American. The French bug us because 1) they have a similar attitude about France 2) they're right!!!

3. Enlightened ideas=bad for der Shrubenfuhrer. |
|
Not bad for America, but the principles embodied in, say, the Declaration of the Rights of Man would get bu$h out of office in a heartbeat if this country actually observed them.
Unfortunately, der Shrubenfuhrer has enough freeper followers in this country to brainwash people into thinking France supports terrorism.

7. France has been much tougher on terrorism during the years |
|
Due to their own sordid history in North Africa, France has been the focus of Lagerian terrorist organization, and has gathered effective intelligence to thwart several attacks. And the US says France is 'soft on terrorism'? Puh-leeze!

8. You're behind the times |

2003 was Hate France Year. 2004 is Hate Spain Year, because the Spanish dared to replace a Bush-enabling lying government.
In both cases it's White House diversionary tactics and media hysteria.
