CBS, Zogby, LAT, Pew ALL Have New Poll Numbers
That are completely at odds with Gallups latest farce.

Read it and weep lurking Bush fans:

http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

I've been saying for quite some time now that Gallup is completely corrupt. Please, from now on, do not get yourselves in tizzy over a Gallup poll that flies in the face of reason, it's to be completely expected.

4. why are Repugs so much more partisan than Democrats?
"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president?"

Approve Disapprove Don't Know

3/30 - 4/1/04
   ALL 49 44 7
   Republicans 84 11 5
   Democrats 19 75 6

5. 10%ers Shout Out!
I do believe we've reached tipping point.

I swore 3 years ago that Bush would leave office with one of the lowest approval ratings--I believe it will happen. The NYC Convention will backfire on them, just like the ads.

9. Thanks, Good Read
Particularly pertinent:

"There has been no change over the past several weeks in the percentage of Republicans and Democrats supporting their own party's candidate, or in the candidate preferences of independents. Rather, the increase in support for Bush over the past few weeks comes mostly from an increase in the percentage of Americans identifying themselves as Republicans, and a comparable decline in self-identified Democrats. This could be the natural result of a shift in the political environment now that the Democratic primary season has concluded.

Maybe. Or it could be that, for whatever reason, Gallup happened to draw a disproportionately Republican sample. That would explain some of the anomalies in the poll that have just been outlined. It would also imply, of course, that the bad news for Bush is a bit worse than it appears in this poll."

I think it's quite clear that Gallup is consciously polling w/ a HEAVY Republican bias, if not out and out just making the numbers up...Either way, it doesn't really matter. At this point they MUST be the laughingstock of the pollinhg community because their bias is just too obvious...

13. In my opinion, these pollsters run sample after sample after sample...
until they get the results they want and that their clients are paying for.

I have no proof of this, of course, but I've never seen anything that would make me believe that they DON'T do this, and I'm sure they could come up with some bullshit justification for such a practice. They might even call it "poll verification" or something. But it absolutely flies in the face of real statistics and survey research.

Media-reported polls serve as advertisements. That's all they are; that's all they're good for.

10. You know, one thing I have noticed about recent polls
Is how you could use them for push pull and gaging how informed the public was about the lies being told.

You know they have to be tainted and skewed somewhat to the place that people that are paying for them state of mind or thinking. The science of getting these close numbers so evenly divided is very suspicious.

Ask yourself the question, when was the last time you can remember a poor group or principle funding a Poll?

20. Really?!
Can't wait to see that one! I wonder if they came out w/ another one so soon because they were embarrassed by the release of all these other polls that contradicted their last one...
