He has to be one of the most repugnant people on earth. Wow. I've always known how horrible he is politically, but this clip lays bare how repulsive he is personally.

Pig Facts
By Miko Santos

Did you know that:

- Pork is the most widely eaten meat in the world.

- Pig heart valves, specially treated and preserved, can be surgically implanted into humans to replace heart valves weakened by disease and injury.

- Pig pancreas glands are an important source of insulin hormone used in the treatment of diabetes

- A pig’s orgasm last for about 30 minutes.

- Pigs are very intelligent and learn very quickly.

- Despite their penchant for wallowing in mud, pigs are very clean. They always keep their toilet far from their living area. Even newborns do this.

- Famous pigs: Miss Piggy, The three little pigs, Piglet (from Winnie the Pooh), Porky Pig, Arnold Ziffle (green Acres), Babe, Old Major (Animal Farm).

- The 'Piggy Bank' came about because the smallholder always invested his wealth in the family pig. It gave him pork, bacon, sausage and also acted as a refuse bin eating all the scraps. When asked if he had any money the smallholder would reply...'No. All my money's in the pig'.
When people stopped keeping pigs they made a replica pig to 'put their money in.' Hence, the practice of saving money in a pig and the arrival of the 'Piggy Bank.'
(snip)

Havn't even seen dogs do tricks like he did last night, but then again he did show some ugly sides to him on the show also, so maybe the analogy is a good one.

And, of course, he makes a political point that the family of the dead serviceman is glad we are gonna stay in Iraq - until * flips again.

On reflection, first the dickweed acts "so sad" about the death, then in the same breath, his true self comes through.

It's easy to forget what a terrible speaker he is. And then the roll of the eyes and that line!

We'll never see that clip on TV though. Maybe on the "Daily Show."

Keep things in perspective though, people. Clinton was a great speaker and all, but also a real scumbag.

I can't stand the Bushbots on FR, and I don't understand the Clinton-lovers here either. If you're going to debate a conservative about the virtues of Clinton vs. Bush, don't do on the grounds of PERSONAL CHARACTER. Clinton was no moral giant.

But I also think Clinton was a too moderate, poll-driven political opportunist.

Thanks to "hippygrandma" for that line. And it worked!

Captain BEEFHEART did indeed cop HOWLIN' WOLF's vocal stylings. Get it?

Clinton "brought" the 8 years of peace and prosperity? Perhaps he just had the good sense not to f*** up the economy and burn our diplomatic bridges? I know with Bush our standards are low, but... between "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and 11th-hour legacy-minded acts, I see NAFTA, "health care reform," and a dramatically-weakened Democratic party, for a start.

79. Those years of peace and prosperity were hard for all of us.
Adultery between consenting adults is a moral failure, no doubt about it. On the other hand, maybe if Bush was getting some he wouldn't be sticking it to the rest of us.

When you compare the morality of the former president to the essence of evil currently occupying the WH, remember that Bush has not been honest, even once, about a substantive policy issue. The reason your types bring up Clinton when Bush's failings are so evident is that you have an indefensible position.

If you really know what you are talking about I defy you to give an example of even one time, just once, that Chimp has told the truth on a major policy issue. I guarantee you won't reply with a real example, or even at all.

as long as you didn't live in Iraq, the Sudan or Afghanistan.

Clearly not as morally bankrupt as Bush and clearly not as war and money hungry and I don't think anyone's arguing that but I have to agree that sometimes the Clinton adulation on this forum gets a bit OTT he wasn't perfect and it had nothing to do with his willy - please feel free to call me a lurking right winger I'll add it to the collection of "looney lefty" accusations I get and have a good laugh.

This thread now devolves into a list of why Bush is worse than Clinton - who argued against that?????

difference, I would say you have major ethical problems. Or is it that you have believed all the false tripe the GOP media played about Clinton?? He had consensual sex with another adult. It's an issue between Clinton, his wife and the other woman.

Yes, Clinton lied. Yes, he had "sex" with that woman. He was not perfect. But, you have to be able to separate fact from fiction. Most of what we heard about Clinton and the family was not true. They were the most investigated family in the history of the presidency and all it did was cost money and prove nothing.

Read John Dean's book "Worse than Watergate".

It is the "too" that I find offensive. I would be happy if GWB had accomplished 1/10th of what Clinton did for our country but I see nothing that he has done that has benefited us.

How would Clinton have reacted if someone had called him "Sir" instead of "Mr. President?"

Could you, in your wildest dreams, imagine him behaving like this?

I can't even imagine him taking note of it at all. He was known for connecting with those he met in person from any station--and for being gracious even to the hecklers who showed up at his appearances (remember when presidents weren't afraid to meet actual people and didn't fence them off in "First Amendment Zones?")

112. The main evening news in the UK carried it
They said he was looking really tired, and he was so edgy that he snapped back at a reporter for calling him the wrong thing - and showed the clip.

It's a real Captain Queeg moment. I'd like to think that his conscience was troubling him because of the nightmare he's created in Iraq, but this would be the first evidence he has one. More likely he's seen some bad polling numbers. What else worries him?

I'm almost sorry it did.

The way they're going to explain THIS one, is that he was so choked up talking to the family of the poor kid who died, that he was unsure of who the reporter was talking to - that's all. They'll invite him to the WH for a Coke and a smile and that'll be that. And it will be dispensed with.

Remember David Gregory at NBC with the French language incident? Anybody care to have followed that up? If Clinton had done this, we'd be hearing about it like the 'haircut'.

107. The freepers are creaming over it. Most of them. It is quite a sight.
One of them compared it to being a teacher; never let "them" get the best of you, or some shit like that. RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH! All the while lamely trying to justify it as "respect for the office, not for himself." One--in response to the info that Washington had initated the "Mr. President" tradition because he wanted to make it clear that he was not "Your Majesty"--some freepers thought Bush was crossing the line here, acting more like a king than a president--so one freeper even claimed that Bush was actually objecting to "sir" because it was like calling him a knight, see, and "Mr. President" was actually *more democratic.* Humble man that Bush is. Who only thinks of the office and never of himself. I wish I were making this shit up, but unfortunately I'm not capable.

Could you imagine if they allowed it to be broadcast? Cheney is going to look like Bush's lawyer, constantly interrupting and pulling Bush aside to "clarify" what he was saying.

His poll numbers would drop to zero if that were broadcast. They'd go to jail before they allowed that to happen. Hopefully, "reports" will leak out.

Nope-- I wasn't overreacting. That is very disturbing. The way he rolls his eyes and the tone in his voice lets me know that he indeed is having some mental problems. Then he calls the next reporter one of his made up nicknames (Stretch). The irony is almost unbearable.

54. Why are the reporters so sheepish?
Addressing a president as "sir" is perfectly appropriate. The president has been called "sir" a multitude of times. Now, all of a sudden, the title "sir" is not good enough for His Highness.

That reporter who the president "corrected" was seriously stupid to back down when faced with that fucking monkey's insanity.

Oh well... File this latest incident under Incidents That Reveal The President's Extraordinary Arrogance.

71. One of the things to remember here
is that these guys know more about what happened and what might come out than we do, no matter what our conjectures are. There may be something brewing which is unstoppable (Plame, questions for Rice, who knows?) - imagine how Nixon would have looked just prior to Alexander Butterfield going on TV that afternoon. Not great.

No question there are things emerging which have them terrified; things which we may have absolutely no idea of - do recall Bush Sr.'s look the night of the election - if you want to call it that - he was paralyzed with fear. Not that they'd lose, but that they may have bitten off more than they could chew. Who knows what might have come to light if Gore had been declared the winner and election fraud were pursued at the Federal level?

The President of the United States (whether one thinks he was elected or selected) is hopping from foot to foot like he has to pee really bad. He can't put together a coherent, intelligent sentence. He's neither thoughtful nor deliberate, and he can't think on his feet. The fact that this obtuse, belligerent little man represents the United States of America is simply embarrassing.

Actually, the main thing that struck me about this chunk of footage is how utterly ill at ease and at a loss he appears to be while talking about his visit to the family of the dead soldier. I mean during that whole part of the tape, he really looks like he's struggling. Once get gets to the whole "people who hate freedom" bullshit he appears to hit his stride.

that * decreed he did not want the Marine Band to play "Hail to the Chief" when he entered a room. He also refused to greet the returning pilots involved in the Chinese spy incident, saying he wasn't going to be an in-your-face president like Clinton. Apparently he's had a change of mind with his Top Gun dress-up display. He doesn't seem to mind "Hail to the Chief," either.

We are witnessing a meltdown, folks. It took me ten seconds to realize that this guy is definitely feeling the pressure. His constant rocking back & forth, the rapid blinking and the oh-so-obvious lack of caring when delivering his textbook inanities about a free Iraq and 'staying the course' let me know that this guy won't be able to take it much longer. Even if he does get another four years, he won't last. He realizes the havoc he's wreaked upon the world. I'm not saying he has a conscience or anything; I think he's just sick of dealing with it.
