McCain won't vote Democrat. One is a registered Republican who told the truth when asked for his opinion, and the other is a registered Dem who didn't tell the truth when he ran for election.

Zell Miller is a senile piece of garbage with an axe to grind against the Democratic party, for whatever reason. McCain is one of a very rare breed: A Republican with a bit of credibility.

John McCain hasn't turned his back on his party, endorsing the opposing party's candidate for President (though he expresses a fondness for Kerry he has never expressed for Bush).
John McCain hasn't written a book focused entirely on how rotten his party is for personal profit, and has never stated emphatically that his party can not win a national election.
Quite frankly, if I had to choose which of these two Senators I would want to back me up, I would pick McCain. Miller will pat you on the back with one hand while shoving a knife in with the other (as evidenced by his earlier comments in praise of Kerry).
It could be argued that Miller is the more principled of the two men (though I think Miller's motives are not nearly that pure), but McCain is the more loyal without a doubt.
Oh - and Miller has more hair.
